I am a christian and last night I got the chance to witness to someone about what I believe in. This particular Girl believes in God's exsistance but she doesn't necessarly call her self a christian. She understands that believing in God does not make her a christian. Even the demons believe in God, as it says in the bible. Anyway... this Girl just doesn't understand God and some of the stuff he does and how he functions. For instance she had two close friends who died in a Car Accident due to a truck behind them, who the driver was intoxicated. Now this doesn't make any sense. And this is a big problem to her that she doesn't understand God. She agrees to go to church with me and talk with me, but the only thing I could tell her was the following...
"Two thousand some years ago a man who was absolutley perfect in all ways walked the earth. Their was not a flaw in him. He was kind, caring, honest, loving, and the list goes on. But for some reason society decided to literally Crucifiy him on a Cross. This made no sense, and at the time was the greatest trajedy of all time. But now as we look back, it was the best thing that could have happened."
This was the only thing I could say to her, that we don't always understand God, but we have to have faith that what happenes is for the best, or more so he will make the best out of it.
If anyone could help with a better explanation to give her it would be awesome.
Your Brother in Christ,
Tony
