We have had Parades in tons of cities for over 30 years now, so is there anything about this one in particular that bothers you?

That's a good question, Inspired. Sports in general have been a hotbed of sinful behavior for decades, what with adultery, alcoholism, assaults, drugs, bribery, fornication, even murder. So why should I be surprised that a sports team would set a day aside to honor more sinful behavior?

What would really stun me would be if a team had a 'Glory to God' day or a 'Praise the Resurrected Jesus' day. Talk about a public outcry, they'd never be able to get the game started. Their worldly fans would respond with outrage at the thought that their poor children might be actually exposed to the cleansing Word of God. Better the validation of a vulgar, sinful lifestyle than risk being introduced to the Jesus who bled and died to save us.

Of course I'm being facetious, but you and I know I'm not too far off point.

You missed all the Stories about the KKK? How about the 4th Street Church boming in Birmingham, AL killed four little black girls.

"A bomb ripped through the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, which had been an organizing center for the Civil Rights struggle. In the rubble of the ruined church, four young girls were found dead: Cynthia Wesley, Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, and Carole Robertson, ages 11 to 14.

Officials in the police department, the FBI, and other government agencies knew this was the bloody handiwork of the Ku Klux Klan. For decades, the KKK had carried out all kinds of terror against Black people in Birmingham."

The point once again you can't judge an entire group on people based on the actions of some.

And who said they were Christians????

They say they are a Christian organization.

go to google and type KKK, can't link you, it's violates the racist link rule.

They can say any darn thing they please..but they are not Christians.

Truncate- I'm not real clear on some of your remarks. What does the article or argument have to do with the separation of Church & State? I do agree that, scientifically speaking, homosexuality isn't a sin. That's because science neither determines nor acknowledges sin. Sin entered the world through Adam & Eve and was clarified to man via the Word of God. Apart from God's Word man knows nothing of sin and those who remain separated from God generally refuse to acknowledge the existence of sin.

Spinto- The Bible explicitly says that the homosexual act is sinful. God ordained marriage as a union between man & woman and sex is an act designed to be shared by a married couple. Any sexual intercourse outside of marriage is sinful. Therefore, by definition homosexual activity is sin. If someone annouces that they're homosexual but never engages in homosexual activity then they are not guilty of that particular sin.

If sex was an act designed by God to be shared by a married man and woman only, than sexual relations shouldn't work as well as it does for those of us that fall outside those guidelines. So much for the "design" theory. We haven't had an issue with the sex act due to incompatible "design"... I don't mean be crude, but the resoning you come upon ignores so many factors. I just don't know what else to say other than the blatant truth.

And certainly I don't deny what the Bible says. It's just incorrect as far as I'm concerned--either that or it is understood incorrectly.

I wonder if possibly later I could make you an appointment with the point.

They say they are Christians, and according to some all you have to do to be one is accept the Trinity and the Nicine creed. The point is you can't judge everyone based on the actions of a few.

so now because a baseball team stands up for what they feel are right, all the sudden all sports atheletes are adulters, alcoholics, drug addicts, etc?

It's a baseball game, no one said straight people can't come, they just made it slear they support homosexuals, just a peaceful protest that homosexuals are there and have the right to be out in public without ridicule and making frontpage news cause more than one of us was at the mall at a time.

I most certainly can judge the KKK for what they are and I can certainly judge homosexuals for what THEY are.

 you really need to breathe, merriam webster, and even if I had spelled it wrong, would it be that big of a deal? You can't prove your arguement so you jump to spelling errors?

Or if it's like gay day at Disney they could see a WHOLE LOT MORE...LOL
I mean homosexuals have pretty much proven that they have a problem not "acting out" in public

i cannot believe you said that. homosexuals? each and every one of them exactly the same? i don't think so. in my college straight girls talk about oral sex and who they slept with the previous night, they make out in the cafeteria and wear tank tops or bras to class. does this mean every straight girl has no problem "acting out"? no.
with the videotape from gay days, which wasn't even taken directly in the park, some people got wild. if you look closer you'll understand why - how often can gay couples be affectionate in public without threats, criticism, etc? that doesn't mean all homosexuals are promiscuous. i find your generalizations extremely offensive and i suggest that you perhaps meet some gay people before you start lumping the group together...

No, sorry it's a pet peeve..but don't you think it's silly to try and insist you spelled it right??? I just typed "incourage" into the merrian webster website and it came up..could not be found.
How old are you anyway? Because if you are just a kid I don't want to keep on trying to have discussions with you..it's pointless.
And if you aren't a kid..well there really isn't ANY excuse is there?

I've met plenty of homosexuals thank you. And here we go with the excuses..the reason they were having sex at a family theme park is because the poor deprived darlings can't be openly affectionate??? YAK.

I didn't think to go to the website I have a dictionary sitting on my desk, either way, didn't think spelling was a federal crime, but hey just for you, fine it's spelled wrong, and oh yes, thanks for trying to insult my intelligence, if it gives your life meaning to demean me, I'm happy I could help.
