I am so sorry for your loss, my brother's and sister's. I pray for all who have lost their earthly live's in this terrible accident and all who have been affected by this tragedy.

Lord have mercy on your departed servants. May their memories be eternal.

May the memory of all those killed in the helicopter crash be eternal, especially His Holiness, Patriarch PETROS. The Greek Orthodox Church (esepcially the Church in Africa) and the families of the victims will be in my thoughts and prayers.

This is really sad.

Patriarch Petros was one of the most respected hierarchs of the Orthodox Church. He lived by Jesus Words "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (St. Matthew 29:19), and opened an Orthodox seminary in Nairobi (Kenya) and established missions all over Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Cameroon and so on.

He was very comitted to humanitarian work and was an acomplished diplomat, who improved the relations of the Church of Alexandria with Copts and Roman Catholics, not to mention the Egyptian Government.

May his memory be eternal and his life be an example to all.

I just heard on the news that they had located the airplane and that all were confirmed dead. My condolences goes out to the Orthodox Church.

I just heard about the loss of your patriarch, and I wanted to say that I am very sorry about the tragedy. I am a pastor, and tomorrow morning in church we will pray for all of our orthodox brothers and sisters who are mourning this loss.

Lord, Guide thy Patriarchate which though founded in the earliest days of thy Church, save and protect thy Orthodox people against all work of thy adversary, and heal their hearts as they mourn the loss of their Holy Shepherd. O, Lord, look favorably on thy humble servant the Patriarch and remember not his sinful humanity but the love with which he served thy holy church in selfless giving. Memory Eternal!
