I remember once I was attending a support group meeting and there was a women there I knew, who was caughing. She said she had been to the doctor and they took xrays and she had pneumonia. The doctor ordered her to go home and go to bed, but she said she needed to be at that meeting.
The problem was, she kept caughing and the more she caughed the madder I got at the sickness and the devil for putting the sickness on her. So I just kept praying, determined that she was going to get better, and the sickness was going to leave her. Everyone else was just talking about whatever and not paying any attention to the fact that I was praying. After about maybe 10 min. I saw something like a shaddow come out of her and leave her. I did not know if it was a sickness or a demon, but I know it left her and I know she quit caughing.
I saw her a few days later and asked her how she was doing, and she told me the story again about going to the doctor and about the xrays he took. But she said she was ok. That was when I learned that even though you can pray and the cause of sickness leaves, the body still has to heal itself and that can take two or three weeks sometimes, before the person is totally healthy again. Later I learned that if she had been totally healed on the spot, that would have been a restoration miracle.
As far as the women is concerned, she was sick, and she got better and I suppose she is grateful for that. I never told her that I was praying for her. Thanks, JohnR7
