Traducción Nuevo Mundo is a Jehovah's Witness publication.Jasmine-FL said:Talmidah,
This is really sad the DHH translators didn't even mind the contradiction between Filipenses y Echos by the way this week i received a free copy of another bible called Traduccion Nuevo Mundo it is really interesting i'm enjoying it a lot because it reads very different from DHH has anyone heard of it?

Hi Simchat,simchat_torah said:Now hold on one sec... you're excluding the context buddy...
Here's the context:
rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, 4 though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; 6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
He's not saying its meaningless. In fact, he gives value to these things, but in comparison it fades to black...
*sigh*
I hate it when people extract a verse out of its context. Many will use these "out of context" passages to justify their own beliefs, which... frankly is just wrong. Not that you're necessarily doing this Daniel, but a brotha's gotta keep a brotha in check
