I watch a little bit of everything for the news. CNN has the best overall programming IMO but theres shows on Fox I enjoy, and MSNBC as well. Its sad to hear namecalling because of what people choose to watch, that seems more indicative of a low IQ and stupidty than which news channel people watch. And O'Reilly, like him or not, usually admits when he screws up, which is alot more than most people do, on TV or otherwise. People would know that if they actually watched rather than stereotyped like they are in the KKK.
:amen: Amen! Unfortunately, I think humans are prone to stereotyping others by nature. People have been labeling people for millennia.

When I read or hear how biased Fox News is Irealy wonder how many really watch Fox consistantly. The weekend report andthe News troughout the dayare truly not biased. But how many really watch Fox news everyday and how many are just going on what others say. We can all find a bias in All outlets . I hear CNN is biased all the time..but I dont watch it enough to say so. But if it is? So what?

And furthermore if it were biased it still in a huge minority in a Dominated Liberal media. So what is the big deal?

On a side note I always have to laugh when the liberals who appear on the Bill Maher show on HBO complain about Liberal Bias on a show that is always 3 Liberals to 1 conservative on its Panel :D :D

I watch Fox News every day and I'm not only not stupid, but have a nice IQ and was on the Dean's List in college. I admit that their news is slanted to the conservative side, but then I'm conservative so why should I watch CNN? Also, when I was in Israel I witnessed CNN changing a news story of an attack at a road check point from something with objective facts to a leftist attack on Isreal. It was horrible!

Just thought I'd have some fun, but seriously... no I mean it, how can you take these networks seriously? They put Captain Obvious in front of one camera and have Dr. Spin on the other (and if there aren't two people then it's a Jekyl and Hyde thing) and it equalls up to mind numbing reporting that turns one into a drone starving for the next bit of information on the topic of wether Kerry "truelly" diserves his purple heart. I can watch 30 minutes of the CBS evening news with Dan Rather and be just as inform on all global events as I would if I watched 24 straight hours of FOX News. The only thing I'll miss is poor Bryant's trial and that sickning Peterson rubbish.

You know what's wrong with this world? Too many people get to upset about news. I'm probably the worst. So tomorrow, I'm going to go out into the world and live life as it happens, and if I don't see news again, then oh, well.

Of course, I'll be jonesing for Tom Brokaw by noon Friday ;)

because FOX has the tendency to spin certain stories that would give the viewer the wrong impression. Do you want to get the wrong impression of important issues?

Also, when I was in Israel I witnessed CNN changing a news story of an attack at a road check point from something with objective facts to a leftist attack on Isreal. It was horrible!

ok. what's a leftist attack on Israel?

depends.
sometimes you just need to have video to truly appreciate something.
case in point: reading the transcripts of Bush's twins vs watching them.
I agree datan. Sometimes I like to see stuff on television rather than read it on the web. I will admit, however, that I use the Internet a lot to read the news.

I should have phrased this better, but I was too stupid. :D The original objective CNN story was of a Palestinian man crashing his car into soldiers at a checkpoint. His grandmother was killed in an attempt to stop his car from doing so. By the end of the day, the CNN story was of the evil Israeli soldiers shooting a 90-year old grandmother to death at a checkpoint. Do you see the difference, datan. It's all in the way the story is presented.

I dont feel like doing, so I'll ask someone else to do the work for me. Someone get the study done by the University of Maryland about the media, its audience, and the Iraq war. In a nutshell, the study found that the Fox audience were the least educated about the conflict in Iraq.
