Hey I have been challenged recently about prayer. My friend gave me the verse Luke 18 v 1-8 about the widow and the judge and how she was so persistant. It made me think we should be persistant with our prayers.
Don't know about you, but sometimes when I pray I think "oh God isn't gonna answer that because it is so petty" or he will never help me out in this situation.
Well I have come to realise through this passage that God will answer our prayers but in a way that we might not expect.
We need to pray big prayers and to keep on praying them. If we don't pray, nothing will happen, if we do pray, something will happen. God is sooooooooo good and faithful to us!!
Lotsa love Katie

Very very true :)

But God may move regardless of whether we pray or not... sometimes God just feels like doing good things just because that's who He is :D

At least however when you pray you have a chance for prayer to bring about a quick result... without it, you automatically choose the hard way. Does that make sense?

Also read this verse:
2 Chr*16:12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa became diseased in his feet. His disease was severe, yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but the physicians.
2 Chr*16:13 So Asa slept with his fathers, having died in the forty-first year of his reign.

All scrirpture is given to us for our edification and instruction. The passage in Luke is there to instruct us on prayer and perhaps even some more subtle lessons as well.
Putting that verse into practice in our lives is the best thing we can do. Thanks for the encouragement.

Indeed we need to pary continuously.
But how is it that even though we may pray contiually our prayers will not be answered? No matter how big or hard the pratyers are!
James says, when we pray with wrong motives.
Mark says, when we are living in unforgiveness.
Romans says, we repay evil with evil.

Throughout the books of the prohets, sin lead God not listening to the prayers and cries of his people. In Isaiah 8 God turned Isreal's enemies on them when they were praying for opposite to happen because of unfaithfulness.

I believe we can make progress by living in daily repentance as we also pray our BIG and HARD prayers.

feeling great this morning.
