Doesn't it start with Master Chief boarding a Covenant Ship? I dunno, post your idea of pm me
Yep. I'm thinking that a few things from the first game carry on. I have a few things for you to think about...
1. All the level names a very concise and refer to something rather obvious. The Pilllar Of Autumn, Halo, Captain Keyes, etc. However, there is one level that seems to defy this. Two Betrayals.
In two betrayals, the Guilty Spark betrays The Master Chief. One problem...
Who is the second Betrayal?
There isn't really too many other characters... Except for Cortana... In fact, those are the only Characters who survive. Cortana, Chief, and Guilty Spark. Seeing as Chief can't really betray himself...
Second, Cortana changes subtly, yet dramatically in Halo 1.
Beginning: Almost always talks calm. Cool and Controlled.
When she plugs in to Halo's control room, she changes color AND character. After that, she gets slightly unfocused, and is excited much of the time.

"If the rules of rampancy follow from what was given in the Marathon trilogy, then AIs "need a planetary sized network of computers in order to grow", and that when capable of doing so, rampant systems "expand with exponential vivacity."
It gets even more interesting from there on...
It also makes a comment on how Cortana worked wonders against the covanent fleet at the start, arriving at Halo. I wonder how much damage could be done if she got ahold of a Covanent Cruiser...
