It is difficult to know what Timothy was to impute, us not having been Timothy. What false teachers teach spreads like gangrene. The important part is to repent and become blameless. "Let everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord avoid evil." Clean the inside of the cup, and make yourself a vessel for lofty use. And of course, stop disputing about words (2 Timothy 2:14).

Dear Lambslove;

You said, "I still don't understand what the deal is with dividing the word"

The deal to God is that His word concerning law to Jews get's seperated from grace to Gentiles, so we all agree and stop causing divisions ..... Now I beseech you, brethren, by the noame of our Lord Jesus Christ, that (ye all speak the same thing), and that there be (no divisions amoung you); but that ye be (perfectly joined together in the same mind) and in the (same judgement). 1 Corinthians 1:10

Welcome to our ministry!

You said, "I think KJV is the best translation" and then said "But other than that it's all about preferences"

Are you saying other translated preferences are ok?

Ha forgive me! I often say "think" in place of "in my opinion" :sorry:

In my opinion the KJV is one of the better translatios. But that is my opinion, many people have other, just as valid opinions as me. It all depends on personal preference and what the Holy Spirit convicts you, me to read.

:wave: Hello, thanks for welcoming me.

Oh, aforchrist33 -- you're a dispensationalist. So you don't believe there is one flock and one shepherd? Or that Jesus is Lord (that is to say, one whose teachings must be obeyed) over all men? Do you believe God is a racist, and that he holds different men to different standards based upon their genetics?

Dear DaveUlchers;

You said,

1. James was never my king" Nor mine. What does that statement have to do with our conversation on "Corrupted Bibles"?

2. I prefer "Modern scholarship and English vocabulary" and "men with appearent commitment to holiness"

Like Paul I strongly disagree in depending on worldly wisdom which he considered dung! (Philippians 3:4-8)

He did not consider wisdom dung. He considered his possessions dung: "More than that, I even consider everything as a loss because of the supreme good of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much rubbish, that I may gain Christ...."

(or if you prefer the KJV: "Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ...." Don't you know what a thing is?)

But, in any case, worldly wisdom is foolish in God's eyes, and divine wisdom is foolish in the eyes of the world. What does that have to do with our conversation on "Corrupted Bibles"?

Dear LambsLove;

You asked,

"What ministry?"

Answer: The ministry of "Reconciliation" ..... To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath (committed unto us the word of reconciliation).

"Who's ministry?"

Answer: God's grace ministry given to us as our Ambassadors for Christ ministry ..... Now then (we are ambassadors for Christ), as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

Dear NickLovesAbby;

No need for forgiveness if unintentional. But it's a good time to use the situation as an example of not using the right words. That's why Paul took the time to insert (2 Timothy 2:15) so we could agree.

Thank you! for appreciating our greetings. Keep searching for truth, I find the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Dear DaveUlshers;

You assumed,

1. "Your a dispensationalist"

Answer: Yes, In doctrine, Paul was arn't you? ..... If ye have heard of (the dispensation) of the grace of God which is given (me to you-ward): Ephesians 3:2)

2. "So you don't believe there is one flock" and "One shepherd" and "Jesus is Lord" are you kidding, putting words in my mouth and judging me! For the record I believe all that!

Oh, aforchrist33, I'm quite uncertain that St. Paul subscribed to a particuliar understanding of the scriptures which relies heavily upon prejudical renderings of Greek into English and which no one had ever heard of until two centuries ago.

Though I'm not unsure some version of this teaching hasn't been around for a long time. "For there have been some intruders, who long ago were designated for this condemnation, godless persons, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ."

But since, for the record, you claim Jesus to be your Lord whose teachings you therefore strive to obey, I will hope that you might be some new breed of dispensationalist I haven't come across before. But don't be surprised to find me circling overhead. ;)

Dear DaveUlchers;

You said ,

1. "He did not consider wisdom dung"

Reply: Not so, How do you suppose Paul had previously became a hypocritical Pherasee? Through Godly wisdom?

2. "What does that have to do with our conversation on Corrupted bibles"

Answer: Worldly wisdom has to do with your approval of Modern language as a source of correct intreptation.

"As for your saying 'I find near imposible to read a book like Romans in the kjv' I believe nothing is imposible with the holy Spirit intepreting for us. I would warn you that other versions will only devide the body of Christ with differences."

well according to that logic I should be able to read the oringal Greek and understand the Book of Romans...but I don't not read greek and I don't read or speak 1619 english.

I think it quite presumptious to assume, that God can only reveal himself through to KJV. I know there are differences in many of the translations. that's why I prefer to examine chalenging passages in a number of different version NIV, KJV or NKJV.
I still prefer my NIV life application.

Dear BigEd;

1. I never said God could "Only reveal himself through the kjv"

2. A good point about not being able to read the Greek & Hebrew. I asumed you knew I was refering to the closest version to the original in english was less confusing.

3. As to your still prefering the NJV after our discusion, well, so be it for you. God bless!

Praise the Lord for giving us the KJV.
I belive it is 100% correct. I belive that you can be saved thru other bibles, but your walk in Christ will be a milky one, not a meaty one.
