US President George W. Bush declared that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is a menace "and we're going to deal with him," and said Osama bin Laden -- a man he once wanted dead or alive -- has been reduced to a marginal figure in the war on terrorism.
"He's the ultimate parasite who found weakness, exploited it and met his match," Bush said of the suspected mastermind behind the Sept. 11 attacks. "I truly am not that concerned about him.

Is it just me? I am still concerned with him !! I want Bin Laden brought to justice! Why are we going after a different target? I thought this whole war had to do with the World Trade Center attack ??

You have to recognize several different things here. Osama has essentially disappeared. As long as he was surrounded by an organization and confined to one locality (even if it was a country as big as afghanistan) there was a good chance he could be easily located. That no longer appears to be the case and Dubya has to decide whether to continue to expend vast resources to locate the man. By dismissing Osama as a marginal figure it saves face for the US and frees up resources to go after what is assumed to be more dangerous people.

If the President were to remain focused on Osama, then every day that the man isn't captured or killed is perceived as another day the guy thumbs his nose at the US. It wouldn't take long for George's popularity to slip and people to start looking real hard at the domestic situation and the economy.

>>I want Bin Laden brought to justice!

Bin Laden was pretty much just a poster boy. The problem in Afganstan was the school system. They were teaching them how to hate Americans and how to be terrorists. They had to go in, shut down and destroy those schools. The man who was head of the schools and who wrote the book on terrorism is dead now. They used Laden to further their cause, and then the US used him to further our cause. I really do not think he is the mastermind they make him out to be. The guy they killed is right up there with hitler and stalin and some of the other antichrists, but I would consinder bin laden to be more of a apostate harlot at this point. He was in bed with the enemy, to be sure, but now muslims sees him for what he is and do not want anything to do with him. Esp. his family, don't want to associate with him. Some of them were over here living in Boston and attending Harvard. But they had to leave because of him.

The problem with the muslims in general is they tend to turn their criminals against the enemy. Also, they turn their suicidal youth against the enemy. That does not work for Americans, because we like to pinpoint the target. Criminals and problem youth can not handle that kinda discipline. The muslims claim they need medical clinics, bridges, roads and schools. So they kidnap people and hold them for the ransom money. When they do get a ransom, they use it to purchase weapons and they become more of a problem. In Afganstan they had drug money to buy weapons with. That is why I keep warning people to watch out for Columbia, because there is a lot of drug money there, and they could very well cause us some problems as some point in time. Thanks, JohnR7

I am still confused.

I believe in justice. Finding Bin Laden would serve justice. But no, I do not think it is right to bomb every hay stack or mole hill to find him. I pray the idea that we are taking our sites off of him is just a ploy to allow him to venture out into the open.

I do not believe in World control or dominance. What right do we have to take out another countries president? Why are we talking war...war ...war ? America has seemed to change her whole character and left me behind. Am I the only one that believes that we should strive to live in peace?

Jesus said nation will rise up against nation.

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

The Bride is a conquering army. We are going to conquer this world for God. It is through us that the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdoms of God.

Rev. 11:15b The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

2 Cor. 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, [5] casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, [6] and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

the problem wasn't afghani schools - if you'll recall, the hijackers were almost all saudi (with an egyptian thrown in) - none of them were afghanis.

"In Afganstan they had drug money to buy weapons with."

what? the Taliban, if you'll recall, banned poppy-farming, and as a result the production of heroin plummeted - now that the Taliban is out, heroin production is back up.

President Bush wants him dead by Christmas new reports today say and a new team has been created to find him which can travel in and out of unconventional borders. I have posted a thread about this. The only funny thing about this is that it's suppose to be a secret so keep it on the down low.

I would like him to face fair justice rather than quick death and martyrdom.

I will keep quiet as soon as long as you tell me how to sign up ;)
