Tell me about where you live. What there is to do where you live.

I live in a small city in Montana. It is a old smelting town. When the smelter was shut down the town did to.

It is surrounding by mountains. It's a cozy place to live. The winters are to dang long. The summers are awesome.

Hunting, fishing, camping, skiing are alls there is to do. Well anything having to do with nature.

Ok your turn. :)

Hi, Kristen ~ sounds like a beautiful place next to the mountains! I like to hike up into the mountains where it's so peaceful, clean, and beautiful. Besides, I feel closer to God in the mountains. Fishing, I can go for . . . love trout!

The area where we live has lots of rolling hills, green, and lots of flowers during the spring. Our city is located about six miles from the ocean and about 2 hour's drive from the mountains. The temperature is in the 60's during the winter months and in the 90's during the summer. Lots of new home construction around the area and sold very quickly as many want to move out into the suburbs.

I hope things are going better for you, Kristen. Continuing to pray.

I live in San Jose, California. Its in Santa Clara Valley; between rolling hills on the east, that are emerald green all winter and golden yellow all summer, and the well treed, evergreen Santa Cruz mountains on the west. I am a 40 minute drive over the Santa Cruz mountains to the Pacific Ocean and an hour and a half drive to the Big Valley.

San Jose is a well populated place that is 50 degrees most of the winter and 85-90 degrees most of the summer. A suburban landscape where the lawns are green all year round, and suburbia stretches almost 30 miles to Gilroy and almost 50 miles to San Francisco. I am surrounded by great universities. San Jose
State University in downtown San Jose, Stanford University just 25 miles north of San Jose, Santa Clara University which is a Catholic school, Berkley University just about 10 miles north of Oakland, and San Francisco University in San Francisco, and Santa Cruz University.

This place is filled with beauty up and down the coast. The one thing most do not have here is God. There iis a lot of idolatry and
sin here. Beautiful Santa Cruz by the ocean is the full of witches and is the lesbian capital of America. In San Jose which is in Silicon Valley
technology, money and diversity of religion is worshipped. There is an Aztec god in the middle of a park in downtown San Jose.
And then the amazingly beautiful San Francisco it the liberal/gay capital of the world.

Well, aloha, angelhug ~ I was born on Oahu, north shore. What island are you from?

Wow, what a change you made from Hawaii to Wisconsin! I can't imagine how cold it gets there.

I really miss the fruit in Hawaii, especially fresh lychee and magoes, among other delicious foods I wish were available here.
Nice to meet you!

Mahalo,

Pat

Sounds like you all live in some nice places.

I was born in Pueblo Colorado. I moved to Fleetwood PA 5 years ago.

I really miss Colorado. :( I miss The Rocky Mountains.

Fleetwood is a very small town 3000. Actually live 5 miles from Oley PA where the School Bus was taken the other day. (Praise God that turned out OK!) It is Amish country. When we first moved here my son asked if we had to have a horse and buggy to live here? :D

It is nice to get to know about all of you.

God Bless,
Roberta

Sounds like some neat places. I have lived in alot of places. I was born in So. California (Arcadia) We just moved back to Montana from Orange, California. I've lived in Martinez, California ( near you solo) It is soooo beautiful there. I am terrified of earthquakes. I always freak out cause I think California is going into the ocean  I lived in Kansas, that was neat , most of my family is there. I lived in West Bend, Wisconsin, sorry I hated it, went back to Cali. I lived in West Bloomfield, Michigan (near Detroit) oh how I hated it. You know I like it best in the Rockies. Oh I forgot I also lived in Idaho Falls Id. I loved it there. The Grand Tetons are awesome. I miss it. Idaho is my favorite I think. Ok enough rambling. :)

blynn and Kristen,
Like you I have lived in Colorado. I lived in Colorado Springs. I love it there too. Spring was my favorite time of year there. Waking up and seeing the sunlight reflecting off that beautifully pearl white Pikes Peak, surrounded by the lush evergreens. Just
an awesome work of God. Then sitting at the window quietly alone at night and witnessing the snow silently fall, illuminated by a streetllight.
And walking in the crisp snow at night as the moon light reflecting
off the pure whiteness almost like a mirror, lighting up the night.
Bobsledding, skiing, and snowmen. I miss it as you can tell.

And Kristen, I was born in Kansas. Much of my family is there, also; centered mainly in Wichita and north into Beloit.
And oh yes, Martinez is a very pretty place. Small by comparison here anyway. There downtown is nice and quaint setting.

It seems like all of you live in nice places.

I live in the Philippines and my city is Manila.

Nothing much to see here in the city(been a city boy all my life)

I live in a neighborhood called tondo and is notorious for violence, drugs, the works.

The only good thing is that I live near the bay(Polluted one at that) and travel by sea is no problem.

I wish to live in the countryside so i can breathe fresh air.

Nonexistent in the city with all the smoke and debris.

Ok enough of me.

God Bless!!! :D

Solo66 man-

What a wonderful description of your surrounding area. I live in Covina, Cali, sounds pretty much the same. I don't think I could have put such a nice ring to my description :D !

I used to live in Chino Hills,Cali. which is mostly known for cows and druggies and only 30 min drive from here. Not too bad but golden grass on rolling hills is called dead over there, and a terrible fire hazard in the summer. ;) It's a shame, too because there were a lot of wild animals like deer and things you could once in a while spot on these hills that are now just cookie cutter housing developments, and hold a very distasteful dark pink color. Yuk.

Covina is nicer, and noticably friendlier, but I still can't wait to clear out. Just doesn't feel like home to me.

Hi girl4god,

Thank you for your compliment. I think California is a very beautiful place. The sunrises and sunsets are subtly different than anywhere.
But you notice I did mention what I consider some major drawbacks here. There are a lot of houses here too.

Where do you dream of living?

Solo66man,

I lived in Colorado Springs for a while too. You described Pikes Peak beatifully!! Did you ever drive to the top? Did you ever go to the Garden of The Gods?

I'm going to have to get back there sometime. I really miss the beauty.

God Bless,
Roberta

Solo66 man,

I have no clue!
I think God will make it clear to me when I'm going, or after I settle somewhere, I will find it to be the place I am meant to be. My husband is all city guy. Loves 'em. Me, not country, really, but definetly more of an outdoorsy- Earthlover.
Besides, I'm not nto loud noise anymore. I've had my fill of unfriendly neighbors, and harmful to my existance places to live. :D
I think where ever we land will be a good mix of both, and a lot of adjusting. That's how it usually happens for me.

I usually find that if I want something really badly, then when I get it- it isn't as good as I thought it would be, or something goes wrong to where I don't want it at all, or appreciate it anymore. So, I don't let myself get stuck on anything, so I won't be let down or ungrateful for what I do end up getting.

Seems like it's time to come clean..... so get out your atlases...

I originally come from Rhyl (a small town on the coast of North Wales), hence I'm actually Welsh. When I was eighteen, I moved to Stafford (a market and county town in the centre of England near to Birmingham) and in 1979 I moved to Rochdale, north-east of Manchester.

Rochdale, like many other Lancashire towns is (or rather was) a cotton town. Cotton was imported into Liverpool and Manchester and spun in the mills of towns like Rochdale into cloth and garments. the cotton mills have now died and have been pulled down. They priced themselves out of the market and have been replaced by imports from places such as Pakistan, India and the far-east.

Rochdale would be classed as a poor town economically but has one of the best town halls in the country (it is reputed that during the second world war, Hitler saw photographs on the town hall and gave orders for it to be taken down stone by stone and shipped to Germany for re-erection - thankfully, he didn't win the war otherwise we would be without a town hall!).

We chose Rochdale because it is hilly. It sits of the edge of the Pennine Range - the backbone of England. Tends to be wet a lot - apparently that's what's need for cotton-spinning hence the reason that the mills grew up in this part of the country. Within a mile of where I live we have a protected nature reserve and "dell" and some pretty spectacular waterfalls.

Anything else you'd like to know...?

Sounds neat Martin. I love to be able to see where you live.

Girl4God... I lived in West Covina and Covina when I was young. I was born In Arcadia. Also I lived in Chino. I went to Magnolia Jr High and Chino High. Nothing like getting up in the morning and smelling the cows!!!

If I could live anywhere in the world it would be right here in the Rockies.

Wow, what cool places all of you live in.
I live in Singapore(a small red dot in the world map), a very small country in South East Asia.
There is no winter nor autumn, here. Everyday is a summer. That is why I am always in an air conditional place.
If you come to my country, you will find that it is so small that it took only 40 minutes to drive from one end of Singapore to the other end. That is how small it is.

AS for scenary, well, the only scenary we have is high rise building and busy cars. Some sort of scenary. But I still love my country.

Let me take you for a moment up to the chilly flat prairies of Canada! It is winter right now where I live and it is downright cold! A high of only -25 C (celcius 'cuz it's Canada) today. I was born and raised in the small city where I married and settled down in. We are probably one of the driest places in Canada as it hasn't rained ( I mean really rained) here in over 2 years. Farmers and ranchers are really having a tough go of it. Please pray for some moisture for us and for God to supernaturally make what moisture we do get, go further and be more of a blessing than it naturally is capable of! Thanks!
