Running The Race

Running The Race

"He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired." Isaiah 40:29-31 AMP

Each and everyday we are in we are running some type of race. We are running to obtain the prize for winning this race. The race can be believing for someone to come to the knowledge of the gospel. It can be standing on the Word for God to show you what you are supposed to be doing in His Kingdom. It can be believing God for meeting the right friends or the boyfriend/girlfriend that God wants you to have.

No matter what the race maybe, sometimes we fall weary. This happens because of a major lack of abiding in the Lord and counting on His strength and in His ability instead of our own. In anything that you do, if you try to run a race or are striving to go higher in the Lord or trying to overcome something in your life without the Lord, you will crash and fall.

It is one thing to stay close to God, and another to never leave His presence. This is another area where people stumble. They may begin on the right foot but when the pressure of live comes down, they in their minds try to find out solutions in the natural instead of in the Word. Reasonings and very possible answers can flood into ones mind to bring temporary relief, but never address the issue at hand. They never reload you in strength to finish the race set before you.

For this very reason alone the bible shares with us that to get our strength renewed by abiding in the vine or in the Lord. When you get in that special place in God and stay there, God not only builds up your strength, but He gives you wings of an eagle and you soar above all the chaos underneath you because the air under your wings is the anointing and the wind of victory!!

The joy of your Lord is also your strength. When the devil cant short circuit you with fear, doubt and unbelief that God might not come through for you this time, he loses. He cant win. This is why we need to stay close and with the one who has paved the way to being the victor and never the loser. Today lets soar with the Son and continue to in the light of God's Word see all those things that try to stop us seem small because in they have been defeated at the cross. Lets from this day on ride on the victory of the Word in all we do.

Peace- nothing missing and nothing broken in your lives.
