Hey all,
This may sound very strange, and I think it is, but I have always been like this, and I mean always.
Well, you know how you usually sing in church, well, I can't. I am not sure if its I can't or I won't, but I know that physically I could, I mean, I can talk, so if I can talk I can sing. But we get in church, get singing, and not a squeak comes out. My dad gets mad and annoyed, cause he thinks I am just being silly and stubborn, but I really feel like I can't for some reason. I know this probably sounds nuts, and I'll probably have a real hard time in heaven as everyone is gonig to be constantly singing. So yeah, I'm a nut. :(

Hmm, I didn't expect an answer like that! :)
Well, quite frankly I kinda wish I could sing like the other people.
I could see where it might be pride if I looked down on others like "ha! I don't have to sing and all you do!" but its not like that at all. Hmm...

what type answer did you expect? and do you not sing because your afraid people are gonna laugh or look at you funny?

Well, see it isn't just that, even when I am alone I won't, and there I have no fear of people (as there isn't anyone there).

I sort of have the same problem, I don't sing in church as well. I don't know why, I just don't and I sort of feel out of place if I do and out of place if I don't. I feel that if I don't sing then everyone is looking at me and wondering why I ain't but if I do sing then I think that I may be out of tune or something of that nature. Most of the songs that are sung in church I haven't heard before, mainly because I was raised catholic and we weren't allowed to sing only the choir. Yes the words are up on the screen to follow along with, I just can't bring myself up to singing.

REALLY!!?? Hey!! I'm not alone!! :) Lol, sorry, but honestly I wonder if I am from the planet Neptune sometimes. :D
Me too!! I too feel out of place when I don't, but I just can't seem to do it. Do you sing outside of church?? I don't even really do that.

I think I feel so bad about it because is singing not a very big part of worship? I mean, I feel like I am cheating God out of something when I can't sing, and everyone else can give this to God. It really does make me feel bad.

You do not have to worry about heaven. Everyone will be able to sing in Heaven. Everyone can sing now, when the Holy Spirit is working in and though them. But in the natural, I usually do not sing. Only when we really enter into worship and the Holy Spirit if moving.

I may not have much of a natural singing voice, but I sure do have ears to hear the music. I have a very high range of hearing, and I can really tell if someone is singing the way God wants them to or not. For example sometimes two people will just get up and sing together, but they do not really harmonze the way they could if they were allowing the Holy Spirit to work in and though them. Most people do not notice, they will listen to one or the other and not really notice that their voices do not blend together to form one.

In Heaven everyones voice will almost blend together to become one. Perhaps because it is not always that way now, then that could be what is holding you back. Maybe somewhere inside you feel it is just not right or at least not what it's going to be when we get to Heaven.
