Do the mosquitos like you?

They like me enough to bite me but not marry me

I wonder if it affects where they bite you, too...I always seem to get hit in the feet, or the shins.

Eh..I get it, but not too too bad. Heh, I was up north and I made the mistake of venturing off into the woods to chase a chipmunk around dusk, came out 20 seconds later with about 15 new bits, heh. Ick.

I mean, I do get it bad, but not as bad as some, I guess.

I get it awful We have 'midges' here in Scotland. Which are absolutly awful. I Remember watching a solar eclipse on the Isle of Arran, when the sun went behind the moon and the light was cut out... down came a cloud of midges bigger than I'd ever seen! Totally covered the whole sky. We had to run in, it was impossible to escape them! I get bitten really bad around my temples and neck... which really sucks!

1) We got 20 inches of rain in June.
2) We have a nice-sized garden in our back yard. (You can't have too many tomatoes, Anaheim chiles, or bell peppers; or too much mustard or corn!)
3) I use a rainbarrel watering system from water which comes off the roof for my watering system.
4) Lot and lots and LOTS of ponds in the area.
5) I'm doomed, every time I step outside...

They love me too, I can't go outside in the summer time without getting eaten alive.
My daughter gets little white blisters in the center of hers, Very strange.

Go to the Arctic in the summer if you want to see mosquitoes or blackflies. Yikes!!!

Nothing personal, my friend, but according to the Discovery Channel mosquitoes are very fond of "smelly feet".


I'm one of those that are ravaged by mosquitoes. Funny story..... some time ago my friends and I were stranded in mud in the woods when 4-wheeling. One of the guyz was wearing a white tee shirt. The next day he pulls off his shirt to show us that the bugs tried to eat him alive, biting him through the tee shirt, it looked like he was now wearing a red tee shirt.

You must be using Repex. It was banned here in Canada. It sure worked though.

/me is afraid of Deet.

it seems like half the time i get bit, the bite becomes HUGE. last year on spring break in florida my misquito bite had about a 5 inch diameter! my best guess is i'm allergic to them. hopefully they arent injecting me with deadly diseases! AH!

Actually, it's some kind of stuff that comes in a little orange bottle with a black cap. I also use Cutter. As long as the insect repellent has Deet in it, it works.

Everyone in my family gets bitten tons by them, but I don't get touched unless I am all sweaty or something. (from running, etc.).

I usually don't get bitten too bad but this evening when I was outside talking to my neighbors, I felt like I was getting eaten alive!
