While that picture is a good example of evolution (of cars in this case), I was more talking about: http://www.christianforums.com/t720811&page=9JohnR7 said:It must have been that mustang evidence for evolution that did it.
It seems to have been the talkorigins.org website that convinced you. After all, it was the statement that "populations evolve" that you said was true.JohnR7 said:It must have been that mustang evidence for evolution that did it.
BTW, the mustang series does show evolution -- descent with modification. In this case it is in artifacts made by humans, not plants or animals. But look at the first mustang and the last. By themselves, they would look like completely different cars with no connection. But when you lay out the sequence, you see the transitional series of species -- production vehicles -- between them. Now, if you went back to the blueprints and CAD drawings of the design teams, you would see the transitional individuals connecting the species. These are the modified designs that never made it to full scale production, but do provide links between the production models.JohnR7 said:It must have been that mustang evidence for evolution that did it.
. It is important to note however, that humans only share a common ancestor with these and are not descended directly from them. Biologists have compared a sequence of DNA base pairs between humans and chimpanzees, and estimated an overall genetic difference of 5% [1] (http://www.pnas.org/cgi/content/abstract/99/21/13633). It has been estimated that the human lineage diverged from that of chimpanzees about 5 million years ago, and from gorillas about 8 million years ago. However, recent news reports of a hominid skull approximately 7 million years old already showing a divergence from the ape lineage strongly suggests an earlier diverge

Its not uncommon for there to be demands of sphinx's and the like.Split Rock said:This question has been asked before, but what exactly do you expect a "transitional fossil" to look like?
lol. please don't confuse the americansMistermystery said:This is the famous fossil called "Bitte nicht berühren".

(oh and that fossilized "please don't touch" is scary!)
