Hello :wave: .

I was just looking at Matthew and i saw somethings i never saw before... (maybe cuz i never REALLY studied Matthew)

[SHADOW=silver]Matthew 5:21[/SHADOW]

"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing."

So, there for, all of us has murdered at lest once... :eek:

Of couse, It's okay to be angry, even Jesus was angry... Just never 'hate' someone :)

Hi BoyWonder,

Heh heh, I actually couldn't understand your version, it was a little bit hard for me, I had to go back and refer it in my own bible ^_^... good ol Spirit filled Bible - New King James Version ^_^.

Anyway... to continue:

When we are angry at our "brothers/sisters" we do need to confess it to the Lord and give it to Him too (v23).

But did you read that last part, it is so serious... the penalty of being angry without just cause is extremely steep!! :eek:

Sometimes we can get angry at people (road rage)... and that really isn't good for us to get angry at...

It's a good thing we can give it to the Lord hey? :)

No one said being a christian is easy, in all ways. Once you follow Jesus Christ you are saved a lot of unneccessary pain from your own sin, because you listern to the guiding voice of the Holy Spirit. You may turn from drink, drugs, imoral relationships. But others in the world- continue to deny Christ and their misguided behaviour will continue to hurt you.
Yes I agree give you concerns not just for you and your christian friends to our Lord, but also for those who would hurt you, especially for your beliefs. Don't let them raise you to anger or hate, stay close in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and give them no ammunition to make others stray. Bless you all friends, Paul.

Oh yes, it is beautiful, isn't it. I love this because it shows the premium God has put on loving your brother.

One thing I try to always keep in mind is that our end objective is to get into heaven. Also, if we loved people, we would want to help them get into heaven also. Sometimes, if I am having a dispute with someone, that is secondary, my primary goal is to help them along the way to draw closer to God. Some of the tiny little things we dispute with people about, really don't make much difference in the long run, in light of all eternity. Thanks, JohnR7
