Well, I guess I'm just being obtuse (or else it's just late,) but I still dont get your drift. What exactly do you believe happened when Paul saw Jesus? What is the "other biblical event" that your talking about?

I read that as you do, but I doubt many here would agree because most on this forum want Jesus return to be physical and this verse leans to the spiritual return of Jesus Christ.

These three make it in fact a physical return That happens immediately after the end of tribulation. That there are in fact two different thrones: one on earth and one in Heaven. Let us now examine the facts so you do not make Jesus nor His Father to be a liar and by that become Anti-Christ.
Psalms 110:2 KLV,Douay, Holman's says "rule thou in the midst of thine enemies" Can Jesus rule from Heaven and have His enemies to surround Him there? NOt possible.
NOw we shall look up the meaning of "midst" in Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary 7th edition.
midst, n. 1 The INTERIOR or CENTRAL part or place;MIDDLE.
Did not The Father in Psalms 110:1 say "I make thine enemies thy footstool"?
So where as The Father's FOOTSTOOL is the earth, The Footstool of Jesus is His enemies(the ones defeated at the battle at the end of tribulation.).
footstool, n. A low stool to support the feet.
So Where as The Father rests HIS feet on the earth, The Son rests His feet on an actual wooden and metal footstool made from the flag poles of the defeated nations. amen
NOW we add to Psalms 110.
Matthew24:29-31
This is when Jesus shows up to raise the Saints, and gather the Sheep to welcome Him to come down on Jacob's ladder to assume control on earth from Jerusalem.
NOw then to those two i add by The Holy Ghost/Spirit Revelation 3:21 KJV Douay Holman's
"To him that overcometh will I(JESUS) grant to SIT WITH ME(JESUS) IN MY THRONE(ON EARTH), EVEN AS I(JESUS) ALSO OVERCAME, AND AM SET DOWN WITH MY FATHER IN HIS THRONE(IN HEAVEN).
But as The Father does not come down from Heaven for The Sheep to see with spiritual physical(raised from sleep at first resurrection and those by translation) until after the END of the thousand year rule on earth, there are for 1000 years TWO DIFFERENT THRONES. AMEN AMEN AMEN
So i have you now trapped.
If you move to the left you make The Father a liar. amen
If you move to the right you make The Son a liar.
What will you now do.
Try harder to find an error in so much as a single thing i have by The HOly Ghost/Spirit brought here.
i am nothing0 and 102% correct in All Spiritual Things by The Holy Ghost/Spirit.
In fact made undefeated across the whole of the earth.
YES i do boast of my relationship with The LORd Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
But in all of this i am nothing0
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen

Hi,

1 Cor 15
26The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

2 Tim 1:10
10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

Paul wrote this about 68 AD as I understand and it was past tense then. The last enemy was destroyed at that time.

I can't help you with the symbolism of the footstool.

There is not any symbolism concerning The Footstool. IT is an actual footstool. amen in this case. amen
Now then for any man that will keep the sayings of Jesus, you will not meet death. This is physical(you do not sleep) and spiritual.
For when as Paul and Jesus has said Jesus and His FAther will come to meet you. This is when you are TRANSLATED.
SO indeed Jesus did for those with ALL FAITHE put away death. For if not, then what good did his death do for the FAITHLESS that they may profit by? Were not men already dieing for the sin of Adam before Jesus came, And do they still die to this day? YES they do.
ANd where as Paul did quailify for TRANSLATION, he instead opted(for THe LORd desired it of him) to go to Rome and shew ALL FAITHE to the gentiles, for even Paul could have DROPPED a mountain on Rome. amen
SO yes even though in translation same as Enoch and Elijah you receive a new spiritual PHYSICAL body, still the OLd Man passes away. But you do not sleep. amen amen amen
Tell me little one, what is it ye but to think to teach me The HOLY GHOST/Spirit can not.
For i was given in The Baptisim i received in Third Heaven All Things whatsoever i have need of.
SO though i suffer you as you must think you suffer me, you and i are NOT the same. i who am nothing0 imitate and follow Paul. i am gentile.
i have not heard you once say Jesus is The LORd., i am nothing0 and i agree with Paul 100%.
So you may continue to cast darts at me, for in the testing of all these things, i attain 100% FAITHE, Knowledge and Mystery revealed.
i am nothing0 and now 103% correct by The Holy Ghost/Spirit.
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen

Here is my understanding by The Holy Spirit: i will not ever so much as make a single mistake in placing all the parts of mystery together in The Holy Bible.
i am come with the gift of asembly.
i can not make anyone in the written Holy Bible to be a liar, nor make anyone there in by this assembly of The Holy Ghost to make another there in to be a liar.
i who am nothing0 read these four The Holy Ghost has approved for my work in this world: KJV, Douay, Lamsa's, and Holman's
For all of these four have the word "the" in 1 Corinthians 12:3 and "the" means ONE.
Paul has bulwarked me against the darts of all.
Ephesians 4:5 ONE Lord.
SO by saying Jesus is The Lord, i have taken The first LORD in Psalms 110 and placed HIM in the physical person of the second Lord(Jesus Christ of Nazareth)
DO you care to wrestle more with me, or will you tell me as i have thee:JEsus is The Lord, i am nothing0 and i agree with Paul 100%?
IT is your decision.
i am nothing0
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen

How many times did You Lord have my brother Paul utter: the Lord, and still they do not understand.
Romans 10:9
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." amen
The first seven definations of "the" in Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary 2nd Edition is the(one).
Do you think this is only a coincidence?
i am nothing0

Actually you have erred. All the bibles agree in Ephesians 4:5 there is ONE LORD.
You purposefully omited the word "the" from Jesus is Lord. This is not sufficient: Jesus is Lord. satan can say it, for there are many Lords, but ONE King of Kings who by the way is called The Lord Jesus. amen
The word "the" is the most important word in the entire Holy Bible. Means ONE.
The Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary defines the word "the" as "one".
All the bibles that have not the word "the" in 1 Corinthians 12:3 have been translated in error.
These four bibles translated by men who did NOT agree with each other all have the word "the" in 1 Corinthians 12:3:KJV, Douay, Lamsa's and Holman's
So with these four i will before The Sheep of The Lord discover and prove all your errors of The Holy Bible.
i can easily by The Holy Ghost take these four Bibles and weld them BACK TOGETHER and have THE ONE HOLY BIBLE. amen
YOU however will Not be able to find and prove a single error in me.
For you are only a person trying to understand that that is impossible in the absence of The Holy Ghost. amen
You may continue in your testing of me. amen
i am nothing0
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen
Thankyou Jesus.

When i have by The Holy Ghost finished, there will be men seperated in this fashion: stiffnecked men, those possesed by demons both of heretics and wolves in sheep's clothing, goats, and The Sheep of The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
By The Holy Ghost i can easily test all and discern the truth of those men. amen
i am nothing0
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen
Now many men read many bibles calling them holy for they have been convenient for their own purposes, but NOT all are The Holy Bible.
You have been given so far four that are good: KJV, Douay, Lamsa's and Holman's
All the rest not having the word "The" before Lord Jesus or Jesus is "the" Lord in 1 Corinthians 12:3 will get you in The Lake of Fire, for easily satan wll deceive thee. amen
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen

For those stiffnecked men, Miracles The same as Jesus and greater is needed. amen
For those possesssed by demons, exorcism by ALL FAITHE in Jesus is needed. amen
For the goats, The Lord to deal with them.amen
For The Sheep, They will rule over the earth for 1000 years. amen amen amen

NO man will go into The Lake of Fire least they fully understand the nature of their mistakes.
But undertanding is best given to men while they have the chance to change and for this Two Witnesses come quickly. amen
But no matter all will NOT change their hearts.
But for the sake of even one to be saved should we Sheep of The Lord Jesus all strive to have All FAITHE so those stiffnecked men can see what truely is possible?
i who am nothing0 tell you it MUST be so. amen
Jesus is The Lord1Praise The Lord1The Lord Jesus. amen

Ah, I see your point and agree with you. It's always bothered me that Christ should return physically. Why would he do that? He's already lived and died physically and He's now glorified.

Oh my, i saw something wrong with that sentence..

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee," Hosea 4:6

God loves us so much and wants to be a part of our lives. He loves us thus He wants to have a say in the things that we do and the only way to find out is from His Word. To search from His Word is imperative and that means one will be a scholar of the Word, but not necessarily a scholar in educational terms. Perhaps he was saying it as the latter but i'll assume it now as the former.

Hi posters,

Of this learned crew, may I ask a couple of questions?

1) How many Great Tribulations were/are there?

2)In a biblically documented story of when Jesus returned to save a man AFTER His ascension, what did Jesus look like? Not a complicated answer, just if He was visible to mortals or invisible?

Thanks,

Justme

Hi justme,

Answer to question2:

It is quite interesting that the man Jesus spoke to was very much against everything that Jesus began (church). The Bible is clear that the manifestation was an enveloping light, far brighter than the noon day sun! This was indeed Jesus, however, this was a Glorified Jesus. His flesh had been changed into something of which there is not much scriptural information. Light, a very bright, supernatural light. Seen by those on the road. Yes, visible. Jesus did not look like a man at this time. This was an awesome manifestation of the Glorified Jesus Christ.

I will attempt to study out more Biblical information.

Hope I have been of some use:)

Hi justme,

Ananias was told by the Lord to go to Saul. Ananias told Saul that the Lord who appeared on the road was indeed Jesus. This Glorified Jesus is indeed the very same Lord that appeared in a vision to Ananias! This goes a long way to lining up with scriptural evidence that points to Jesus being the name of God!

Interesting!

Hi,

About the incident when Jesus actually returned to earth after His ascension, it is shown in Acts 9 and ends with this verse:

7The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.

So Jesus was invisible. What does that tell us?

Justme

Justme,
It seems from your last comment that you're trying to say Jesus never rose from the dead with a physical body or just that he never rose from the dead.

Luke 24:36-46
36 ¶ And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Hi Twhite,

No I don't mean that Christ didn't raise from the dead.

There is alot of talk on these forums of Jesus leaving earth in physical mode and returning the same, I would like to see some discussion. I would also like to deal with how many great tribulations there are.
