I don't know if I've mentioned this anywhere on the boards before, but I'm currently attending community college. I'm going to to be transferring to a university, however, next fall. I'm mailing the applications tomorrow, as a matter or fact....and I'm also starting to get really worried.....I used to be so sure that I knew where God wanted me to be, and I became eager to attend that school myself. Now, I've started worrying about EVERYTHING...getting accepted, paying for it, getting on-campus housing, and whether or not God really WAS telling me to choose this school. I don't know whether these fears are just Satan trying to mess with me, or God warning me that I won't get what I want, and it was never what He intended, even though it truly appeared to be. Please pray that everything goes well....I feel like it would be wrong to ask you to pray that I get accepted to my first choice school. So...let God's will be done.
My second request is less major. Some of you might have read my Disneyland thread in the fellowship court, and you'll know that I'm planning to go there in September with a friend of mine. I was really happy and excited at first, but now I'm worrying about this, too. I'm starting to think that something awful is going to happen to keep me from going, or getting back home if I make it there. Even though the trip is 6 months away, could you please pray that my fears are unfounded, and that I have a nice, safe, fun vacation?

Thanks everyone!

My wife has this attitude that if it's God's will, it will all work out. If it is not God's will than it just will not work out. She does not worry about it. I like to know things ahead of time myself. Recently, she wanted to apply for a job. I told her that it was not God's will for her to get that job. But she wanted to do it her way, so she went ahead and applyed and took a test they gave her. Sure enough, they did not hire her. So I asked her if it was not all a waste of time. She said not at all, because she learned from the experance. Of course you have to pray accordingly, that if it is not God's will, then He will slam the door and cause it all not to work out for you.

She did the same thing when we got married. She was working in Hong Kong at the time and decided she wanted to marry me. So she prayed and decided that if I went to Hong Kong to marry her, then it was God's will. If I did not go over there to marry her, then it was not God's will for me to marry her. She did have a plan B, if things did not work out between us. I would ask her what she would do if I did not go over there to marry her, and she said she would just go to plan B. Sometimes I even have a plan C, if plan A and plan B do not work out.

There is no reason to worry about it, just trust it go God to provide for you. Our part is to seek first the kingdome of God and His righteousness and His part is to provide for all we need. He provides all we need to do His will. If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart. It's that easy. I do it and it works for me. thanks, JohnR7
