I think I am a historic/fundamentalist:sleep:. Boring, I know, but I enjoy research on Biblical events and their end-time parallels. I believe in following the traditions as passed on to us from Paul and the 12 Disciples to Polycarp, Polycrates, and the other early church fathers before paganism creeped in. I especially enjoy discovering what constitutes false doctrine and its origin. But my main focus is my relationship with my Awesome Creator and those around me.

:confused:What do others mean when they say they are fundamentalist?

I think I may be more of a reformer than anything else. I see how things have changed and I desire to help put them back as they were supposed to be, help others get back on track. I can identify with the 'watchman' position in Ezekiel. From what our Blessed Savior has shown me in His Word I feel called to give warning of the upcoming events. Yes! That old doomsday message hasn't gone away. It can't until the seven last plagues are over and our Redeemer comes in all His splendor.

My study Bible is the NKJV because it is easy reading. But I also revert back to the KJV and I picked up a new version that really helps in my studies of the original words and their meanings. It is called "The Scriptures" and it uses the original names. I really enjoy it.

My most valuable study aid is "Holy Bible Library" CD. It has the KJV along with Strong's Concordance in audio so the Hebrew and Greek are pronounced.

:sigh: Does anyone else here see themselves as a reformer? Its not the most popular position to have. "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;" 2 Tim. 4:3 (KJV) I have found this prophecy coming true as most don't want to know what is going to happen."For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark," Matthew 24:38 (KJV), but they wouldn't listen.

There are such great and wonderful things to be found in His Word. More than just warnings to the "sinner" there are beautiful love letters from the Heavenly Father to His children. I read through the Bible once with the theme being, "What does this say about our Creator." Powerful way to study the Scriptures.Has anyone else tried that?
