1 Peter 1:

17 Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.

18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers,

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

I have thought of that but they are completely seperate devotions. I suppose I can enter fewer devotions if you would
like.

I agree and including verse 6 is really encouraging to me.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,

7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by
fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

That is so true suenelson,

I know I do not always understand just what God is trying to do
through me or someone else. And the trials can be very disturbing
and sometimes I even try to hide from them, but I, of course must come to realize it is only God building us up to be used for His purposes. Which, when we think about it, is a wonderful blessing.

2 Corinthians 3

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the

glory of the Lord, are being

transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as

by the Spirit of the Lord.
