What are his popularity polls looking like compared to Kerry? Compared to Nader? :o

Do you think he can pick up his ratings enough before the November election?

Ah, Constitution Party candidate. I think that's their sole focus, to end abortion. They always have a presidential candidate (at least they did in the last 2 ones) and there's usually one running for governor in PA whenever there's a gubernatorial election. As I recall, they usually don't get any significant portion of the votes.

Yes, you cannot 'end abortion'...you have to end the need for them.

The thing is, nobody is aware of any 'personhood' in a womans body...leaving her free to do as she wishes with the resources available to her. Passing laws against abortion will only open up an underground movement that would exist solely to provide abortifacts and procedures to women who seek them out.

Can anyone prove without using religion, that Abortions are wrong in some situations? (Not the comsetic abortions mind you)
If you really wanted me to and I had some free time, probably. Got AIM or MSN? I'm looking at an evening of CF and various other message boards, an abortions debate would be fun.

Anyhow, I do agree with him in the sense that in most cases abortions are wrong (obviously minus when the mother's life is in danger, I ain't no...err I won't go there) BUT obviously as Philo pointed out you cannot "end abortion" with a single law, it don't work that way...and for that reason I believe abortions should be legal, up to a reasonable point.. (I'd define *maybe* the first month and a half as reasonable..anything thereafter IMO is a stretch.again this obviously excludes where the mom's life is in danger)

Robert.
This is a hard one that shouldn't be a hard one. I would vote for him in a split second, if I had any hope that he would get elected. However since there is such a slim chance it would be throwing your vote away, and allowing the pro abortionist kerry a chance to win. So in the present situation I would have to say no, and pray my vote for Bush will be heard so that we can get new supreme court justices in, (the democrats won't be able to filibuster them next session) and then have it come up before constitutional justices, not social doctrine justices....

Meh. Stupid little presidential candidate. Doing this would not end abortion, even if he stood a snowball's chance of winning, and even if such a ban would be legal. All he could do would be ban legal abortions. Backdoor 'clinics' would flourish, and the coathanger would become the method of choice. How many women would blled to death, die of infection, or be rendered sterile by unqualified butchers working without supervision? Lots.

Peroutka said he would actively work to dismantle certain parts of the federal government.

"Certainly the Department of Education is one where there is no federal role," he said, noting Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution lays out what Congress has the authority to spend money on, "and education is not one of those things."

Other items on the Peroutka chopping block would be health-care funding, arts funding and Social Security, though regarding the latter he emphasized he would "be in favor of keeping promises to those we've made promises to." Peroutka says the process of paring down the federal behemoth would not be a gradual or phased-in program, but would be more of a cold-turkey action.
The above is a great example of why this nutcase shall never be elected. Of course he knows he has zero chance and probably just likes to hear his own speeches.

If it is God's will that Michael Peroutka become president of these United States, then Michael Peroutka will become president of these United States. The same applies to Michael Badnarik, Ralph Nader, John Kerry, George W. Bush, and anyone else who meets the constitutional requirements to become president.

At least there would not be 3000-4000 infanticides a day in the United States as there are now. And our nation would not have to bear the shame of saying these infanticides are accomplished with the blessing of the government as we do now.

There are always people who break the laws. But that does not mean we should not outlaw murder simply because there are those who will commit murder even though it is against the law.

You shouldn't think like this, becuase it could tempt you to sit back and let God do everything.
I've been taught that God has done everything already, but that it is our turn to do our part.

But I do like your attitude, our God is a BIG GOD!

Yes.Underground medicine has a history of being unreliable and dangerous. If you deregulate it, then lack of care and oversight will lead to people cutting corners, and provide an incentive for undertrained and underqualified practicioners to corner the market. That is a bad thing, and would lead to people dying.
