despite what most college professors say, mismanagement of overpopulation is the problem. the worlds population could fit, 4 per, in single family homes in an area the size of texas.
And what would that do to the land and envrionment in Texas: destory it.

still: why do you get a pass for critizing this familys personal lives when conservatives are bigots?
I never said conservatives are bigots. They have a right to believe whatever they want and critize me for how I live. Just as I have the right to critize someone else's behavior, but I'm not trying to pass laws to deny anyone the right to have as many children as they want. The difference is they want to make me live a certain way against my will.

if your argument is the environment, then this one family is hardly compensation for all the death of abortion, communism, and homosexual relations that yeild no children.
My argument is always for the environment and for fairness. I said nothing about abortion, communism or homsexuality, perhaps you would like to start a new thread about those issues?

i didnt say you did. i used those points to defend the family in question.
you said this family is wrong for having so many kids, citing environmental concerns.
and i said, there's more than enough death to ofset it.
simple, really.
I didn't say they were wrong. I said I thought they were selfish. Am I not entitled to an opinion?

I don't think its irresponsible to have alot of kids, or selfish, or depriving anyone of anything. Sure, they may not spend hours one on one with mom or dad but that isn't the only way to experience love and security. Our society has become so 'child-centric' that people believe that unless your dumping a bunch of attention on a kid 24/7 your practically abusing them. Its just not true! Child rearing 'fads' come and go and to say one is right while the rest are wrong is short sighted. If everyone were raised exactly the same way and had exactly the same experiences that wouldn't make the world a better place..

Personally, I couldn't handle that many kids but to each his own.

Perhaps before deciding that having a large number of children is selfish or irresponsible, you should check on Europe (and until recently. America) where underpopulation is such a huge problem that most economies depend on immigration to continue. Governments have tried paying people to have children. It's not working.

Also read Julian Simon (here's one small example: http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/5.02/ffsimon_pr.html) on how wrong population doomsday environmentalists are. Please investigate before you believe things the left says.
