This thread is either a joke or poor decription of fundamentalisim.
Jesus said that a time would come when we would worship in Spirit and in Truth. To a fundamentalists worship in Spirit is to worship God with the help of the indwelling Holy Spirt. "The Truth" comes from God, to a fundamentalist that means the bible is truth. That's it!
Negatives associated with Christian fundamentalisim began when Jesus was hung on a cross. Stephen also felt the result of holding to a fundamentalist view.
This is really nothing to laugh about.

Hmmm. am I a fundamentalist???
I was born and baptised a Catholic, spent 11 years in Catholic schools, was born again after spending 15 years away from the Church, attend a Pentecostal church, have my daughters going to Girls Brigade at a baptist Church, my daughters are attending a Uniting Church school, the main Charity I help involves people that are affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church......
My belief is that there is one Church consisting of a number of denominations and we should spend more time focusing on our similarities and less time on our differences......

this was originally a mark lowry joke hehe. and it goes something like this
"when i was growing up i went to church in a fundamental independant bible beliving preaching teaching king james version using saten hating baptist church" ... at this point ppl thought he was making fun of these type of baptists and i thought so too. i was kinda offended at that point cause thats pretty much what i am lol. but he paused for a second and said "AND IM PROUD OF IT!!!!!" lol.
actually mark lowry was a strict baptist (to say the least) cause he went to church with one of my former pastors when they were both REALLY YOUNG.

The KJV and the NIV would probally be best if it was in another thread.
It could be a very long topic! But I can tell you this one thing......many many words and verses are left out of the NIV from the manuscripts.
Make a new topic.....and watch the flames! LOL

I am a fundie (yeah! I have a title) Except I am not baptist, and I prefer the NASB, but I have a KJV, NKJV, NIV, Message, and also the Living Translation.
But I do like to bash satan, and my own flesh!
