my initial reaction was oh ****, I suppose I rather liked the fact that I had posted so much and earned so many blessing through supporting this site, but I am wrong to feel this way.

My second and significant reaction is, Erwin, you are only human, we all make errors of judgement. I have made lots myself so who am I to judge. I thank you for working so hard trying to correct the problems that have taken place. And what can not be saved ? - I know for a fact that I was becoming a little obsessed with CF anyway so some of my 1100 + posts weren't always so hot anyway.

I thank God for using you in this way to enable us all to fellowship together and I pray that God will Bless you.

I wish you could know how much all your effort and hard work is appreciated Erwin. I also wish that there was something that I could do to help. We are incredibly fortunate that we have been able to visit CF so soon after the crash. But the others are right, we can post now, so go to bed...there's always another day...

Erwin, just thought this should be said again. ukok has said what I wanted to say so wonderfully. We appreciate everything you have done for this site and for the members. Everyone makes mistakes. Atleast you have a working hard drive, I have crashed 2!!

Hey Erwin, I single handedly managed to delete every single post from my own forums a while ago. That's a little over 220,000, so I know how you must have felt. Thankfully, most of the members of my forum were cool enough to accept my apologies, so I think it's safe to say that I and probably everyone else can accept yours. Really, we should be thanking you for taking the time off work to repair the forums. It must have been a lot of hard work to get things up and running... I suggest that when you're done, you take a nice long break from CF.com.

Congratulations Erwin for getting everything back and running!

I have experienced the same thing the past week with my 2 personal computers at home, but this involved a nasty virus... I lost my Microsoft Money on-line banking... and 2 hard drives...

..luckily I had backed up some spreadsheets and most of my MP3 music collection and was able to salvage some parts of those 2 infected computers and put in a refurbished computer I bought for $159 at a computer repair shop. It took a few days to get everything working and all the software loaded and working right. 6 GB seems pretty small compared to today's 80GB and 160GB hard drives you see at Best Buy and Circuit City, but I'm happy to just be on-line now! And who needs all that space anyhow, unless you are downloading movies, but I have the old VCR for that!

Lessons I've learned:
Do backups more often
Download those anti-virus updates
Big hard drives are useless if you can't access them
Don't put all my banking in Microsoft Money

Erwin, I registered with CF a few weeks ago and had gotten up to about level 12 or so before the crash.
This morning, I found that my member id was lost in the recent crash, and so I attempted to re-register.
Unfortunately, I kept getting an error message which states, "The administrator has banned your email address." In order to register, I had to use an email address which I usually only provide to family members.
This is quite odd, as I have never been disciplined in any way on the forums. I am a Christian, and had a pretty high rating before the crash.
When I got the rerror message, I was told to send you an email at no-reply@christianforums.com. I tried to do so, but my email was returned as undeliverable.

So now I have to ask: am I banned from these forums? And if so, why???
