Here we have Michael Savage. Fervent Zionist. Racist. Yet it completely escapes people that Jews themselves might be racist. In fact, the person who even insinuates the possibility is himself labelled racist.
Savage is a self-hating Jew. End communication.

I notice none of the Savage supporters have responded to my statement that he wants the US to nuke the Middle East. Although someone claimed he wasn't an extremist.
Actually, Hands&Feet did answer you:

Savage is so good at his act! It took listening to him a couple of times straight through before I realized it was brilliant sarcastic humor.
It's called sarcasm and irony, being ridiculous to get a point across.

I am no fan of Michael Savage, however I agree with you. Free Speech is infinitaly more important than the possibility that we may have to listen to something offensive.

I enjoy The Savage Nation. I also enjoyed The Enemy Within.

Has anyone here ever listened to or read The Savage Nation?

There is freedom of speech in the U.S., not freedom to never be offended.

and that's exactly why I did it. For lefties to get a taste of the way they label anyone in a negative manner who doesn't agree with them.
it has become commonplace for the liberal's to be called all kinds of hateful things on the radio that is dominated by right wing agitators. they are one of the seriously divisive forces in the country right now and encourage hatred and action based on it. savage wants to nuke the country. hannity wants to arrest the war protestors for sedition, as does savage. savage DID say that women are too emotional to vote. i do listen to him and am amazed each and every day at what he says, and even more amazed that he can garner the support of anyone that remotely considers themself a christian. his schtick is hate-speech for fun and profit, and he is an embarrassment to us all. pray for him.

On May 11, while repeatedly calling Abu Ghraib "Grab-an-Arab" prison, he launched into this little tirade:

"I think there should be no mercy shown to these sub-humans. I believe that a thousand of them should be killed tomorrow. I think a thousand of them held in the Iraqi prison should be given 24 hour -- a trial and executed. I think they need to be shown that we are not going to roll over to them ... Instead of putting joysticks, I would have liked to have seen dynamite put in their orifices and they should be dropped from airplanes ... They should put dynamite in their behinds and drop them from 35,000 feet, the whole pack of scum out of that jail."

The next day Savage added that Arabs were "racist, fascist bigots," and purported to speak for a majority of Americans regarding the war. He offered several all-American solutions to our problems in the Middle East.

"Right now, even people sitting on the fence would like George Bush to drop a nuclear weapon on an Arab country. They don't even care which one it would be. I can guarantee you -- I don't need to go to Mr. ******* [pollster John] Zogby and ask him his opinion ... The most -- I tell you right now -- the largest percentage of Americans would like to see a nuclear weapon dropped on a major Arab capital. They don't even care which one...

"I think these people need to be forcibly converted to Christianity ... It's the only thing that can probably turn them into human beings."

He also made sure to plug his credentials.

"I'm going to give you one further example from my background as an anthropologist just so that you -- I'm trying to put context on this because you can go crazy if you don't have the context on this, because I'm going to lead up to something of what we must do to these primitives. Because these primitives can only be treated in one way, and I don't think smallpox and a blanket is good enough incidentally ... Smallpox in a blanket, which the U.S. Army gave to the Cherokee Indians on their long march to the West, was nothing compared to what I'd like to see done to these people."

first point is that what savage does is not actually sarcasm but rather hyperbole. that was just irritating me.
secondly, the publisher of his books is a division of Thomas Nelson, a top five christian book publisher and owner of the NKJV translation. i think a boycott of nelson would make a great deal of sense. does anyone else see the value of this? could we at christianforums.com make this happen?
