Nehemiah 13:26
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.
Jeremiah 32:34-35
But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it. And they built the high places of Baal, which [are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through [the fire] unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
1 Kings 16:19
For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.
There are many examples in the Bible of causing others to sin. Genesis 20 has another good example of this. Where Abraham told Sarah to say she was his sister for fear that others may slay him for her sake. Then Abimelech took Sarah, but was stopped by God from touching her. This is a good example of how we can unintentionaly cause others to sin.
While we only need to give account of our own sins before God. It would seem that we are also capable of causing others to sin, this is a sin in itself.
Anyone care to share some examples of how we might cause others to sin?
