If you find yourself in a situation you cannot handle, don't worry about it. Give the trouble over to God. When you cry out to the Lord in faith, it's a spiritual 911 call. You can rest assured that Help is on the way - and at the perfect time.

God is love, and God is our salvation - our Rescuer. Whenever a storm is brewing, He should be the first One we run to. Whenever our strength is weakening, we need to let His strength take over. We should praise Him,
ask Him to rescue us, and let Him rescue us!

Psa 18:1 I love you, O LORD, my Strength.

Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my Savior, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the strength of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psa 18:3 The LORD should be praised. I called on him, and I was saved from my enemies.
Psa 18:4 The ropes of death had become tangled around me. The torrents of destruction had overwhelmed me.
Psa 18:5 The ropes of the grave had surrounded me. The clutches of death had confronted me.
Psa 18:6 I called on the LORD in my distress. I cried to my God for help. He heard my voice from his temple, and my cry for help reached his ears.
Psa 18:21 because I have kept the ways of the LORD and I have not wickedly turned away from my God,

Wonderful post Altya,
God most certainly is stronger than any storm that can ever come up against us.

Psalms 93:1-5
The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

By all your replies I can see you all went through a storm and discover God's helping hand in it.

The very first thing I do in a storm is worshipping God then I will start thanking Him for the storm. Its always amazing how God support me – God never took me out of the storm but I can witness how He carried me through

What a great post altya.  When I'm troubled with something as I am now I use what I know about the Lord to keep my focus on Him.  When I speak to Him though the storm it looses power and is calmed.  I look in awe at Him that His word to me repeated back to Him has the same power as if He spoke it Himself.  Truly Lord who can say your words are empty and without great power?

Your truly are an instrument of the Living God.  Your words are like notes coming from a well tuned harp being played by the Spirit within us.  Your notes are in time and perfect harmony.  There is only one I know who can play an instrument like this with perfection.  One of many of the Orchestra of God you are.  My standing ovation to the Director and His mighty Orchestra.  Who can play the Trumpet of God better then He?  Who is the Trumpet of our God?  I say anyone who is moved by the Spirit to shout His praises.  So Lord, play your Trumpet that all may know that You alone are worthy.  Gather up your instruments unto yourself Lord of Heaven and with the power and Might of your "Sword" direct us into battle with a song of your "Word".  Let us rejoice in you Lord of Heaven for your Kingdom will forever be established.  Who can stand against your Kingdom Lord of Heaven and Earth?

Blow your trumpets Lord, sound the Battle cry.  There is a thief in your kingdom and I want Him caught, bound and cast out where there is great turmoil and destruction.

How silly people are to think that when they become a Christian life will be a bed of roses! Where did that idea ever come from? Can you guess? Was the life of Christ a bed of roses? Well, if it was, there is no record of it, and what is recorded would indicate anything BUT a bed of roses and do we need to discuss the way His human life ended?

I guarantee if your life is smooth and there are no bumps and everything is just fine and dandy in your life, you BETTER wake up and find out what you are doing wrong! If satan is leaving you alone, it is obvious you are no threat to him.

Reminds me of the Song "Rose Garden" by Lynn Anderson.

Actually Gerry I would have to disagree.  The Christian Life is a bed of Roses.  You start rolling in it and you get stuck at every turn. :D

All kidding aside.  When you do start becoming a threat to Satan all Hell breaks loose on you.  It's as predictable as the night coming after the day.  I thank God knowing that even these times when we are attacked God will use these to benefit us.  Clever God we serve.

Wow, i had a double post before!

Rose of Sharon show me, how to live in beauty in GOD'S eyes.... :)

Our heart is to be as beautiful as Jesus, but trials and tribulations we definitely have :)

2 Corinthians 1:15 Since I was so sure of your understanding and trust, I wanted to give you a DOUBLE blessing

Now I'm going through great trial and tribulation because I don't know what the "Rose of Sharon" is. :D

Thanks I take this as a personal word for me - I went through a very bad time today and needed this as well. God bless!!!

Gerry I thought years ago to become a Christian will solve all my problems – funny, it becomes more severe but in every single problem I could see the mighty hand of God moving over my life, changing and molding it into the image of God. Today I am truly thankful for every thing – good and bad – that comes my way.

LOL There is a Scripture for that!

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

altya,

I and others have been so blessed by your posts.  When I wrote what I did I felt a very deep need to provide something special for you.  What I wrote was of a sincere heart.  I asked God to help me to write something that would benefit you in the best way.  I'm very greatful that you replied but I'm even more greatful that God allowed me the privilege of serving somebody such as yourself.

We should share good things with our teachers.  We are all teachers and we are all students.  By your acknowledgement of what I wrote I am now also encouraged with you because I to am being tried in the fire.  I seek acknowledgement for what I do and say as a way of confirming that I am doing what God wants.  I find His praise when I know something I've done for somebody has truly met a need.

Know that my prayers are with you and that your not alone in the fire.  I'm right there with you.  Don't be afraid to ask for help.  You are a child of God and I will ask for and accept no less then the best from the Hand of God for you.  Prepare to recieve the Lamb of God spotless and pure.
