The article didn't say he was an atheist (maybe I missed that part). It seemed like he was a spiritual seeker. And just because his brother in law says something doesn't make it true.

It sounds like he was a kind, compassionate, caring human being.

Well, I'll take the word of Rich Tillman...he the younger brother of Pat, regarding the more accurate perspective.

I would propose that we are all on an intellectual journey toward reason.

;)

PS ~ Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for complete strangers.

the articles don't contradict each other. fortunately we get to read both. i have no reason to believe his little brother is lying. nor does it minimize his sacrifice. in some ways, it intensifies it, because without God he had no hope of his sacrifice being rewarded.
townhall was an interesting site to peruse. at least it doesn't pretend to be balanced. if this is ones source for all their insights, they will necessarliy be myopic, just as a liberal spending all their time on a liberal columnist site is receiving only part of the story. we all get indoctrinated to something. choose wisely.

yours in Christ

If Pat Tillman did not believe in Christ, his brother was correct. He is dead.
I'm so glad I reject Christianity...

Anyway...

Per your theology, Pat Tillman is being punished in Hell isn't he?

I know this isn't apologetics...but are you okay with that? Not sure how people can live with that outlook on life...especially when applied to a person like Pat Tillman. Words can't describe how I feel. Sick I guess is probably a good word.

Pat Tillman and the way he lived will be a comfort for those close to him.

We should all be so lucky.

It's not the poster's theology, it's Christian theology. And sadly, yes, Pat is not with the Lord (based on his not being a Christian, "if" that was the case).
