  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Perry Stone, a prominent Tennessee-based Pentecostal evangelist and founder of Perry Stone Ministries, claimed that his friend told him a group of pastors were recently briefed by U.S. officials to prepare their congregations for the disclosure of UFOs and extraterrestrials.

"I'm not going to go into great detail, but there were a large number of pastors that had been invited to go to a certain state to hear some men in the United States government and others share with them a concern that they had," said Stone, who did not identify his source in his April 27 YouTube video, but claimed the person has "a great church."

Stone, whose YouTube channel has approximately 925,000 subscribers, said his friend told him that some of those in the meeting "were telling us as pastors, 'You need to prepare your people, and you need to get ready to answer them for what you're about to hear being released.'"

If there is any false preacher today, it would be this man. I pray he one day repent.

Thanks for sharing.

Hmmm...

So in summary, his "friend" told him about a secret meeting between select pastors and government officials on UFO's.

Armed with this secret knowledge, Stone proceeds to blab it on the internet to anyone that will listen..

I suspect he's making it up. It sounds fishy. If it isn't, then all his friends should be learning not to tell Stone anything they don't want shared.

Whether or not the account is true, what's mildly amusing is the Church has already addressed this. Seriously. About the time of Augustine of Hippo, there was a strong belief that there were dog-headed people and the question was whether they had souls and could be saved. Not sure, but think the Church concluded yes to both.

St. Christopher was originally a dog-headed monster but the later medieval Latin church was changing to focus on personhood as reducible to a particular biological form (following Aristotle's thought), so the dog-head image of St. Christopher was changed into an un-monstrous form.

As always, my question is "What aliens?"
Yup. I’m convinced they aren’t real. Only man is made in God’s image.

Peace
