CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What I'm saying is that it's the only rational explanation based on my own experience.
Even if I start by assuming nothing. I start by not knowing where the signals come from and reading different explanations for them. I check each explanation against my experience and see does it rationally explain what I have in front of me. If one of those explanations makes absolute sense and the others don't, then that is the one which rationally explains my experience.
And to date, the only one which makes absolute sense, when the others don't even come close, is satellites in geostationary orbit over a globe earth.
What I am asking you is to give me another explanation which would show that satellites in geostationary orbit over a globe earth is not the only explanation which makes sense.
And it should be really really easy to do. Because the evidence should be right there for me to see. So far there is no evidence for the explanations to be even remotely true. For me to accept them as true would require a belief beyond rational thought for a very rational problem.
I'm no fool. If I see a rational explanation for satellite tv signals that means satellites in geostationary orbit over a globe earth don't necessarily exist, then I have something to work with. But so far all I have seen is people who know nothing about what they are saying, or do know but are deliberately being deceptive. It is that obvious to me because of my own knowledge and experience, not my belief.

Explain this in your own words please. I haven't given you any videos to watch. I have shown that I'm knowledgeable about the subject and can debate it without resorting to videos I can't explain myself.
Also the video says nothing about an alternative explanation of where the satellite tv signals come from.
And this video is as dumb as a rock! He ridicules the idea of a satellite being able to keep up with the rotation of the earth. The guy is cluless. In space, you do not need any propulsion to "keep up" with the earth, just minor corrections over time. You kick a ball in space, it will keep going forever until it hits something. Comparing a flag been let go from a moving car is utter rubbish. It is not like with like.
In short, this guy is either a deceiver or is one of the least knowledgeable people on earth!

As I edited my last post, I did watch it. And the guy is clueless.
Not only does he not give any alternative for where satellite tv signals come from (which is what I have been asking you), he claims a satellite would not be able to "keep up" with the earth, like a flag been let go from a car would not keep up with the car. In space, there is nothing to slow the satellite down - no atmosphere, no friction, nothing. It's not the same as a moving car on the road. You start something moving at a particular speed in space, it will keep going at that speed with only minor corrections over time.
If that's the caliber of the people you are listening to, stop it! As I have said in my last post, the guy is either a deceiver or one of the least knowledgeable people on earth.
So again, please give me a rational alternative as to where satellite tv signals come from if not from satellites in geostationary orbit over the earth, and don't give me any more videos which show a complete lack of any understanding of facts, let alone addressing the issue I have been asking you for.

Well you have to say that, because they saw the 24 hour sun. Dean Odel publicly said that if there is a 24 hour sun at the Antarctic, then the earth is a globe.
The trouble is that neither he, nor you, want to admit that a number of people saw the 24 hour sun for themselves. That would destroy your beliefs and he would have to publicly admit that he was wrong. Obviously neither of you are willing to do that - so the best thing to do is to accuse others of lying.
Charles Duke - and others - proved it was when they walked on it.
You don't want to believe that either, so you accuse them of lying. Even though one is a born again Christian and has no reason to lie.
