The usual go-to for history deniers is to claim that we can't trust the historical sources because they were written by Roman Catholics. Since in these contexts the existence of the Orthodox is an inconvenient reality, everything has to be subsumed into "Roman Catholicism" in a singular conspiracy theory. History is, therefore, untrustworthy; except where the historical record can be deliberately misunderstood to conform to the historical revisionist's fiction.

All historical sources that disagree with the revisionist must be rejected.
All historical sources that can be taken out of context, or cherry-picked are useful to promote the revisionist agenda.

Because the conclusion is determined already, there is no honest pursuit of truth. If I decide on the conclusion that the earth is flat, then all evidence contrary must be rejected; and my entire methodology is already pre-determined to aimed at achieving my predetermined conclusion. It's the same thing here. The conclusion is already determined, and all evidence contrary must be rejected; and therefore I can never honestly pursue what is true, I can only spin things to attain my desired result.

Truth is, therefore, entirely irrelevant; what matters is an Orwellian devotion to the will of the Party.

I don't know. I agree with those who say there were two Sabbaths that week, one being the "high Sabbath":

“Therefore, because it was the Preparation [Day], that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they might be taken away.” (Joh 19:31 NKJV)

I don't think that the day matters much when compared with the glorious truths of our Saviour's death for sinners, and His resurrection.
