  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Encamped in the Shelter of the Most High

Opening Prayer – Week 1

Lord, as I enter this quiet space, I come beneath Your wings—seeking refuge, comfort, and peace. Encamp me in Your presence and let Your Word be a balm to my soul. May Your promises in Psalm 91 awaken trust within me, and may Your nearness calm every storm. I surrender this time to You, believing that You are my shelter and my strength. Amen.

Devotional Message

To be encamped in the shelter of the Most High is to live surrounded by divine presence, even when life feels uncertain or fragile. Psalm 91 reveals a God who commands angels to guard us, who responds to love with deliverance, and who satisfies us with eternal promises. His protection is not passive—it is personal, active, and all-encompassing. In every season, whether we feel strong or weary, seen or forgotten, God is near. He hears our cries, knows our name, and walks with us through every valley. This is not a distant hope—it is a present reality. We are not alone. We are encamped by Heaven.

Psalm 91:11 NKJV
“For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Meaning This verse reveals the unseen realm of God’s care. His angels are not distant or decorative—they are assigned to guard, guide, and protect. The phrase “in all your ways” speaks to the totality of life: every step, every season, every sorrow. It is a promise of divine oversight and spiritual companionship.

Application Trust that you are never walking alone. Whether you’re navigating grief, illness, or daily responsibilities, God’s angels are present. You may not see them, but their presence is real. Reflect on moments where you’ve been spared, comforted, or strengthened—these may be glimpses of angelic intervention. Let this verse remind you that Heaven is actively involved in your journey.

Psalm 91:14–15 NKJV “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him…”

Meaning These verses reveal the intimacy God desires. To “set your love” upon Him is to choose Him above all else. Knowing His name means knowing His character, His mercy, His justice, His faithfulness. God responds to love with deliverance and to relationship with elevation. This is not a distant deity—it is a personal Father who answers when called.

Application Cultivate a love for God that is intentional and personal. This isn’t about performance, it’s about presence. When you call on Him, He promises to answer. Let this be your assurance: your prayers are heard, your love is seen, and your relationship with Him is honored. In seasons of silence, this promise becomes a lifeline.

Psalm 91:16 NKJV “With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.”

Meaning This verse is God’s final promise in the psalm—a declaration of satisfaction and eternal assurance. “Long life” may speak to earthly years, but it also points to spiritual fullness and eternal life. To be shown His salvation is to be invited into His presence forever.

Application Let this verse be comforting when life feels uncertain or brief. God’s definition of satisfaction is not limited to time—it includes peace, purpose, and eternal reunion. For those who dwell in Him, life is not measured only in years, but in grace and glory.

Closing Prayer

Father, thank You for meeting me here. Thank You for Your angels who guard me, Your love that delivers me, and Your voice that calls me by name. As I rise from this sacred moment, let Your truth remain—You are with me, You are for me, and I am encamped by Heaven. May I walk forward in peace, knowing I am never alone.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

The Fragility of the Vessel

Opening Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you with humility and reverence. I am just a fragile vessel which has been placed in difficult circumstances. You knew the challenging circumstances of life would come my way. and still You poured out Your grace and peace in my life. I pray every burden I am facing will be turned around to Your glory, honor and praise. Refine me in your fire, heal my body, mind, soul and spirit and make me whole again. Let ever broken place reflect Your light. Let every weakness magnify Your strength. I give You all glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen
Devotional Message
We tend to shy away from our weakness, forgetting that grace meets us most tenderly, through our weaknesses. It is important for us to hold close to the fact that God places His power in earthen vessels — like us — so that the excellence of His power may be of Him and not of us. Our weakness is not a flaw; it is the very place where His glory dwells.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
Meaning: Our frailty affirms our worth, despite our weakness, in the knowledge of God’s glory revealed in Jesus Christ — the gospel of Jesus Christ. God chose to place His divine power within our fragile vessels, so that no one would mistake the source of the strength that was given to them by God. The treasure is His presence; the vessel is our humanity.
Application: When we accept our fragility, and allow God to take control of our lives, we stop striving to prove ourselves and start allowing God’s glory to shine through us. Our vulnerabilities become windows for His light to shine through us, so that others will see the glory of God in us.
Affirmation: I am not ashamed of my weaknesses or vulnerabilities. It is God’s ordained plan for my life, designed to allow His power and glory to shine through me, as a beacon for others to see. ( 2 Corinthians 12:9 ;4:7 NKJV)
Our human limitations allows grace to seep into our brokenness. Illness, grief, betrayal, loss, doubt — these are the broken places of our lives that shape us into the person we are today. But in those very places, God’s grace shines through. The wounds become vessels for God’s light. The brokenness becomes a testimony.
Scripture: Psalm 147:3 NKJV “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Meaning: God is near to the brokenhearted and He heals them — body, mind, soul and spirit. He doesn’t discard the wounded — He binds them up. Healing is part of His nature, and a divine gift he freely gives to us. Through His healing power, He will bind up your wounds and restore you. This is God’s promise to you.
Application: We often fear that our brokenness disqualifies us from being used by God. But it is in the healing that our testimony is born. The places we thought would destroy us become the very places God uses to minister to others.
Affirmation: My brokenness is not the end of my story. God is healing me, binding me, and restoring me.
We are not called to be flawless, but rather, we are called to be faithful. In our weakness, His strength and glory is made known through us. The vulnerabilities in our lives are not shameful — they are sacred.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Meaning: God’s grace is all we need. It is enough for us. His grace fills the gaps in our lives that our own strength cannot begin to fill. He is not looking for perfection — He is looking for surrender. In our weakness, His power is revealed.
Application: We often strive to be strong — keeping our pains and grief tucked inside ourselves, in trying to hold everything together. But God invites us to rest in Him — in His grace — His sufficiency. When we stop striving and trying to get through it all ourselves, and start trusting Him, we make room for His power to move.
Affirmation: I will not hide my weakness. It is the place where God’s strength is most visible. It is a place where God’s grace, strength and glory shines through for all to see.
When we surrender our need to appear strong, we make room for God’s grace, strength and glory to shine. The vessel may be fragile — but the treasure within is eternal. We are clay in the hands of the Potter, shaped by grace and filled with purpose.
Scripture: Isaiah 64:8 NKJV “But now, O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.”
Meaning: We are handcrafted by God. Every curve, every crack, every contour is intentional. He is the Potter, and we are the clay. He molds us and shapes us into who He wants us to be.
Application: When we remember that we are clay, we stop resisting the shaping. The trials, the stretching, the refining — they are part of the process. God is molding us into vessels that carry His glory.
Affirmation: I am the work of His hands — formed with purpose, filled with grace, and shaped by love.
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing me despite my fragility. Thank You for placing Your treasure within me and allowing Your power to be seen through my weakness. I surrender every crack, every flaw, every broken place to You.
Shape me, mold me, and use me for Your glory. Let my life be a vessel of grace, a testimony of Your strength, and a reflection of Your love. I trust You, Potter of my soul.
In Jesus’ Mighty name, Amen

Weekly Devotional – When Trust Is Betrayed: Held by Truth

Opening Prayer

Father, You are the God of truth, justice, and mercy. You see every heart, every motive, and every hidden word. When deception wounds and trust is broken, You remain faithful. You do not overlook injustice, and You do not abandon the brokenhearted. Today, I come to You with the weight of betrayal and the ache of confusion. I ask for Your healing, Your clarity, and Your peace.

Help me to release what was taken through lies. Thank you for restoring my faith and trust. Teach me to walk in discernment, to speak truth with grace, and to rest in the assurance that You are my defender. Let Your Word be my compass and Your Spirit my comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Devotional Message

There are moments in life when trust is shattered by the root of betrayal, by the subtle schemes rooted in deception. When someone lies, manipulates, or deceives you, it leaves a wound that words cannot easily heal. The pain is not just in what was lost, but in the betrayal itself. It’s the realization that what felt safe was not safe at all, and what seemed true was false.

Psalm 34:18 (NKJV) “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a contrite spirit.”

Meaning: God draws close to those who are hurting. He does not turn away from our pain or shame. Instead, He surrounds us with His presence and offers salvation to the humble. This verse reminds us that brokenness is not a barrier to God. He is inviting us to draw near to Him when someone hurts us in these ways.

Application: We don’t have to hide our pain or pretend to be strong. We can bring our broken heart and contribute spirit to Him, knowing He will not reject us. He is our refuge. This means creating space for honest prayer, journaling our grief, and allowing ourselves to feel without shame.

Affirmation: God is near to me. He sees my broken heart and holds me with tenderness and grace. I am not alone in this pain - His presence surrounds me, even when I feel abandoned. He saves me all the pain and suffering I am going through.

Scripture reminds us that God is the God of justice. He does not bless dishonest gain.

Proverbs 12:22 (NKJV) “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.”

Meaning: God sees deception as deeply offensive because it violates the trust and dignity of others. Truthfulness, along with faithfulness and His justice are some of the reflections of the nature of God. In ministry and relationships, truth is the foundation of trust. God does not bless manipulation or deceit, and He does not ignore the pain it causes.

Application: When we’ve been lied to, manipulated and deceived, it is our human nature to feel distrust, unseen or foolish in the fact that we trusted and believed the person that betrayed us in the first place. God honors our integrity. We don’t need to vindicate ourselves. He will do it in His time and in His way. This means we need to choose honesty in our speech, tone of voice, in our sincerity towards others, in guarding our ministry tone, and refusing to mirror manipulation, lies and deception.

Affirmation: I am not defined by someone else’s lies, manipulations, deceptions or betrayals. My integrity is seen and honored by God. I walk in truth, and He delights in my honesty. Even when others misrepresent me, God knows my heart and will vindicate me.

What was taken through manipulation, lies, deception and betrayals is not honored in heaven. What was given in sincerity, truth and integrity, is seen by God as an act of worship and receive by Him with grace and acceptance. He restores, redeems, and heals the broken hearted. Even when we feel alone, afraid and ashamed in the aftermath. We are never abandoned – we are never alone. His presence anchors us through the confusion, grief, and shame we may be feeling. God enables us to stand tall and remain firm in our faith and trust in Him, helping us to reclaim and rebuild our lives in Him as His sons and daughters.

Psalm 147:3 (NKJV) “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Meaning: God is not distant from our wounds - He is the healer. Like a shepherd gently bandaging a wounded sheep, He wraps His loving arms around us and heals the brokenness within our hearts. His healing is not rushed or superficial. It’s intentional, gentle, and complete. He knows the shape of each wound, the depth of each ache, and the story behind every scar.

Application: We can bring our emotional wounds to God without fear. He doesn’t shame us for being hurt, nor does He rush our recovery. This might look like taking time to rest, seeking wise counsel, or simply sitting in silence with Scripture.

Affirmation: My heart is safe in God’s hands. He is healing me, binding up my wounds, and restoring my peace. I do not have to rush or pretend - He meets me exactly where I am.

He teaches us to forgive - not to excuse the wrong, but to release the burden. He teaches us to guard our hearts - not with walls, but with wisdom – His wisdom.

Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV) “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”

Meaning: The heart is the source of our spiritual, emotional, and relational flow. We need to quietly discipline ourselves by showing up for fellowshipping with friends, Bible Studies, and Church Services. We need to stay on the path that God is leading us down. By doing so we are honoring God through consistent obedience.

Application: Guarding our heart means being mindful of what we consume, who we trust, and how we process pain. It means setting boundaries that protect our peace and preserve our clarity. This might involve limiting screen time, journaling emotions, praying consistently, spending time in God’s, or praying for discernment.

Affirmation: I will guard my heart with diligence, trusting that God’s Spirit will guide my steps. My heart is a sacred space, and I choose to protect it with wisdom and grace.

God reminds us that He does not condemn the wounded. His grace covers the broken places, and His Spirit leads us into healing.

Romans 8:1 (NKJV) “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”

Meaning: God does not disapprove, nor does He judge, nor does He punish those who are walking in obedience in Christ. Rather, He covers us with His grace, His love and His mercy. Condemnation is a heavy burden, often rooted in shame, regret, or accusation. God speaks healing, restoration, and truth into our hearts and minds. He does not condemn us.

Application: Even when we feel broken or misunderstood, we can rest in the truth that God does not condemn us. This means rejecting the voice of shame, silencing false guilt, and embracing the Spirit’s gentle leading.

Affirmation: I am not condemned. I walk in the Spirit, and God’s grace covers every broken place in me. My past does not define me - Christ defines me.

Closing Prayer

Lord, You see what was taken from me through deception, lies, manipulation and betrayal. You know the pain, the confusion, and the questions that linger. I release this burden to You. I trust You to make it right. I forgive all those who have deceived me, lied to me, manipulated me and betrayed me. I forgive them so that I can be set free of all guilt, shame, regrets and mistrust I am feeling. I hand all these things over to You. Take these things from me and deliver me from these burdens. I ask that you mend what was broken, recover what was lost, and reclaim what was misused and stolen from me. Let my life be a testimony to Your justice, Your mercy, Your healing power and Your Grace. I choose to walk in truth, to speak with grace, and to live with discernment. Thank You for being near, for being faithful, and for being my defender. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
