CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Every day I'm thankful for:
1. Another day on God's beautiful earth;
2. The ability to spend this day with my family;
3. A home;
4. God has blessed me with a job that I can be sole-provider even in this terrible economy so my wife can stay home raising the kids.

Last night I was thinking about something that happened in my teen years. While I have issues with my mom, I am thankful that she is my mom instead of other moms. It could've been worse!

I’m thankful That God almighty chose to leave heaven to “ seek and save that which was lost”.
I’m thankful God allowed me to physically be able to drive my mom and sister to church today.
There has been days I have felt like I didn’t have anything to thank him for. I was so wrong. God has been better to me than I deserve.
I’m learning to thank God for my trials. It did me a world of good to sit back and thank God for some dark days in my life.
It’s easy to thank God for the good things in life. I want to thank him for the bad. I would not be where I am today if it had not been for the dark days in my life.

I'm happy to have lived in an age of biblical enlightenment and have witnessed what it represents, the continual defeat of good by evil and the doom to come, but knowing ultimately that HIS Will will be done, not rebellious man's or elohim's who refuse to learn from history in their selfish rampage towards destruction.
