CHRISTIANS!!! Wake up and realize that our beliefs are being distorted and our respect lost!!! If we don't do something about the way that we're going, the end of the world will be here sooner than you think!!! Be active in your community, in missions, in reading your Bible, in praying. I urge you to be a voice and become a leader! If you don't do it, how do you expect others to? Be a servant of Christ and a fisher of men. This world is lost and we are set apart from it! Just be active and set a good Christian example!

IN the past three weeks I have been called everyname in the book seems like when I try to talk about God and His salvation and His undying Love and mercy and forgiveness! But I'll never stop being a witness for Christ!PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes like Didymus says don't hide out in the churches and the Christian schools.
We have to get the message to the world.
We are of the world but not a part of the world so we tell the world about Jesus.
I don't believe we have to be apart of the world by doing what the world does.
I have read here in the forums where Christians picked up what the world was doing so they would listen to them.
WE tell them but we don't mingle in a worldy way. IMHO

God bless you all for your enthusiasm. You know in parts of Melbourne, Australia, I can feel people are starting to open their ears to the gospel and are wondering what it's all about. God blesses our prayers and he blesses our commitment to him.
If you are a leader, one of the main things I've been reading lately, is the need to have vision, to have others join this vision and have strategies to make this vision come about! God loves you!

As a courtesy, I wanted to remind you that this kind of talk will probably fall on deaf ears here in the eschatology forum. Most Christians here believe the world is getting worse and worse and there isn't anything we can do to stop it.
Why fight when we're on the next flight?
Might as well retreat into our Churches and Schools, close the drapes and await the rapture. It's what Jesus wants anyway, right?

But Evee, The world HAS to get worse than it is now before Jesus can return.
Shouldn't we as Christrians hasten the coming of the Lord?
If Christianity keeps spreading the way it has for the last 2000 years, the world will only get better.
We can't have that now can we?

Evee, that is a very noble way to live. If that is what you are doing, you should be proud.
However, wouldn't you agree that the end result of the spread of the gospel is a better world?
I mean, there are more Christians today than there were yesterday, and there will be more tomorrow than there are today. Such has been the unbroken history of the Church for the past 2000 years.
More Christians on earth = better world.
There is no way around this fact, but it spells trouble for Christ's return, for the world must get worse first.
How can the world get worse if the gospel continues to spread?

Why are things getting worse? Why is there so much anti-religious intolerance these days? It's those nutso's in Afghanistan and Palestine! They think they can just commit mass murder in the name of a higher being! You have to admit, Sep. 11 has played a big role in why so many people are scoffing religion today. I mean think about it. Those terrorists made religion look bad! And not just their religion, but all religion. Even though we have seen church attendance rise since 9/11, there are now many more non-religious people out there who, instead of being pacifists and pretending we don't exist, think that religion just creates more problems than it solves and are persecuting us for it! But they are wrong. You have to admit, there are a few bad apples out there, but most religious people are people with good hearts and good intentions; it's just like the police--most of them do a pretty good job, but there a few bad apples--same difference.
Oh well. This is why I believe that the towers were meant to fall--yes, meant to fall. Something had to happen to cause all this treachery in the world. This is because the Bible speaks that in the last days there will be many scoffers--people who mock, scorn, insult, laugh at, and ridicule the name of the Lord: 2 Timothy 3:1-7. Yes, it is a sign of the times folks. So, yes the world will get worse, but fear not, for this means that the time of the Lord's Second Coming is getting ever closer. Just one more reason why Jesus could return in our generation.
Still I think we must continue to be good stewards for God and do all we can to spread His word; although it's likely that most people these days won't even listen to us we can still have some success in bringing people to Christ, especially on continents such as Africa. DON'T let the signs of the times stop you from being a witness for the Lord!

Hi lastdazed are we not supposed to get the gospel out just because it may make the world a better place to live?
We may not be of the world but we are in the world.
I would like to make it as comfortable as possible while I am here.
The Rapture may not be here for another 100 years as far as I know.
I think we should preach the gospel to all the world.

Where I am, there is a new interest in Christ among the poor and homeless, a big boom in numbers getting saved, too.
I can't have enough Bibles in my mission work, and I am getting reports of the same from all over the region. The poor and homeless want Christ in their lives, and they want to be discipled, too.
