USAID official pleads guilty to taking part in $550M bribery scheme: ‘Violated the public trust’
Which doesn't mean there is "widespread" corruption---although Republicans may try to promote it as such.
And by no means does it diminish their guilt by allowing so many millions of people to die and suffer from starvation and disease.

Why would they do that? After all, I've heard republicans say that, even if someone has been convicted of a crime, say for example 34 felony counts of fraud, that doesn't mean they're actually guilty. It would be lawfare to punish them in any way for it.

Please show proof where [millions of people have died this year] because of no U.S. aid.

Yes I did, and never saw where [millions of people] have died this year because of no U.S. aid
Ah. I see the issue. So after having misquoted the poster in question and creating a strawman argument you are demanding we come up with evidence to satisfy criteria no one claimed. No thanks. Play your silly games that real people are not dying with someone else.

The DCs might say starvation or dehydration. But you and I both know why people are suffering from starvation and malnutrition. Do you really need the humanitarian organizations like Catholic Relief Services to spell it out for you? Do you really think that if they don't have the resources to provide the food anymore that God is miraculously dropping manna down from heaven to make up for Trump's callous, immoral irresponsibility?

"Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international humanitarian aid agency founded by U.S. Catholics that is a subsidiary of the USCCB. CRS offers legal advocacy for illegal aliens to facilitate their entry into the United States.20
From 2013 to 2022, CRS was the No. 1 NGO recipient of federal funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), receiving $4.6 billion over the course of those years.21 In FY 2024, CRS received nearly $700 million from the U.S. government, including grants from USAID, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Department of State, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Health and Human Services. 22 According to the latest publicly available tax filings, CRS receives over 50 percent of its budget from government sources.23"

As you can see in the article there are a lot of questions in regard to various NGOs. Taxpayers will have more money to give to charity and will be able to choose for themselves which charities to give to.

Don't think that was unknown to MAGA when they were cutting USAID. If it had been SBC missions or somebody like that getting the money it would have remained intact.

American Christianitytm always trying to save a buck from being spent on the poor!!
Speak for yourself. The past administration was extremely wasteful, and their policies hurt many of the poor.

CRS has a CEO who pulls in over $600,000 a year. Missionaries of the Poor reach the poorest of the poor, they themselves have taken a vow of poverty and owe nothing. There is no reason to waste money going through the bureaucracy of the federal government. Don't tax the people so heavily in this way they can donate directly to good charitable organizations, not necessarily those chosen by Democratic Party leaders.
