He registered to enter the federal building.
He was escorted by DHS security agents to the room where the Noem press conference was occuring.
DHS agents knew who he was.
He declared who he was twice.
They still pushed him into another room and forced the US Senator to the floor.

There is NO EXCUSE for that behavior by any professional security service.

I don't care who he was, when you are being escorted out don't shove anyone. The Secret Service acted correctly. At first he was just impolite, he had no business shoving forward once he was asked to leave. How dare he, these people think they are entitled.

No they didn't. They disnt even know when he said it, because he had no identification he provided at rhe time. As people are so find of point out, "it was only 10 seconds" or whatever.

They acted appropriately under the circumstances and Padilla did not. What on earth made him think he disnt have to follow any rules regarding his actions? He is so entitled that he thinks he could do whatever he wants?

He is so entitled that hes such a big shot Senator rhat he can just barge in and start challenging loudly rhe DHS secretary in rhe middle of her briefing then force his way past security?

He was stopped by security for being disruptive and he tried to force his way by. Yes, it is a big deal. He shouldnt have done it and security did their job perfectly.
