  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trump Ceases Courting the Pro-Life Vote. Now onto Courting the Less Deathy Vote.

It’s become obvious that the man who ended Roe is now backing off his commitment to being pro-life.
Trump now opposes federal action on abortion while even criticizing some state pro-life laws as too extreme.
Unknown-104.jpeg

Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, recently stated that Trump would actually veto any abortion ban that made it through Congress. He said that by overturning Roe he returned the issue to the states and that’s where it should stay.

Now, Trump is saying that he not only supports IVF but he wants to make it a law that insurance companies have to pay for it.

I did hear about this. Unfortunately it looks like the Republicans are caving into the "world" on this. Sooner or later, I wonder if abortion will even be a dividing issue anymore between the two parties.

Glad I’m no longer a Republican who would be anguishing over this betrayal by the guy who four years ago was called the most pro-life president ever.

It’s good to be an independent. So many waiver anymore in the name of power. So many waiver anymore in the name of acceptance, etc. Its easier not to be disappointed or jumping on the apologetics bandwagon when you are not affiliated with either party.

Trump isn't perfect, but Kamala is a train wreck on steroids.

And no matter who "wins" in November, the losing side will never accept the results, so get ready for sectarian conflict. This may be the beginning of the end.

The whole thing is surreal to the max. Waiting for some outlandish October surprises to be foisted upon us. Scared that one of those might be a major war. And still thinking a Monkey Pox vaccination mandate is coming our way.

Jim Rickards predicts marshall law and civil war possible.
He believes Trump will win but the Democrats may not accept it.
Chaos in the streets and a big mess economically.

I may want to pack my bags and move somewhere.

Parts of flyoverland will remain sane the longest. But Minneapolis and Portland and a bunch of cities will burn themselves to the ground before accepting that Trump won.

Problem is, where you gonna go? The rest of the world still depends on a stable America, even as bad as we currently are. We fall, and the rest of the globe is also likely to suffer some sort of repercussions....and you may find yourself in a foreign country where things are worse than they'd be right here. :(
