New data shows that Democrats' longtime advantage with Black, Latino and Asian American voters has shrunk to its lowest point in more than 60 years — creating a massive vulnerability for President Biden and congressional Democrats.
Why it matters: One of the most loyal parts of the Democratic coalition is suddenly in danger. Black and Hispanic men could vote Republican in numbers not seen since President Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected in the 1950s.

The big picture: Latinos, the nation's largest non-white group, still lean Democratic. But they've been shifting Republican over the last two decades, and are no longer the slam-dunk Democrats they were in 1960 when JFK ran for president.

By the numbers: Democrats' advantage among Black, Latino and Asian voters is at its lowest since 1960, Financial Times columnist and chief data reporter John Burn-Murdoch found by analyzing a massive set of polling data.

I've watched Trump's numbers amongst Republicans climb and it's pretty wild to watch.

I think when the Democratic shook hands with both the mainstream media, big corporations, and big tech....they figured the non-stop propaganda and one-sided media coverage would be impossible overcome for conservatives.

I think what they failed to realize is that it looks like a non-stop propaganda and media blitz in favor of a particular party. If the Democrats were running a man named Jesus Christ for his second term at this point (you know, a fantasy scenario where a Senator named Jesus Christ, a Latino from southern California beat Trump in 2020) and the Republicans were running an accused triple murderer and alleged rapist named Barrabas....

A lot of people would rightly be considering "What's this Barrabas guy's position on border security and the economy?"

Because that's how bad it is. That's how poorly this administration has done.

Absolutely accurate - Minorities are leaving Democratic support by the thousands - When you have a culture that is strong in family, and religious beliefs - they don't seem to find anything to connect to - so they are leaving.
Ballots need to be printed…what’s “last minute”?
valid question - They will make a decision pro/con by August 22.

CNN data reporter Harry Enten stunned Monday after polling found that former President Trump is expected to garner significant support from Black voters.

An aggregate of network polls found dwindling interest in President Biden among Black voters, down to 70% in 2024 from 86% in 2020. Trump, meanwhile, has cut into Biden’s coalition, tripling his support from Black voters over the last four years, from 7% in 2020 to 21% in 2024.

"I keep looking for signs that this is going to go back to normal and I don’t see it yet in the polling," Enten said. "If anything, right now we’re careening towards historic performance for a Republican presidential candidate, the likes of which we have not seen in six decades."

I believe that, if the trends in these polls continues into November, then Joe Biden and the Democratic Party will lose the election in November.
