As with most things, of course its possible that, overall, Im wrong. But I doubt it. Keep in mind Im not a fan. Joe is just.... ok.

My father was on Omaha Beach, either the second or third wave. Between that and the Battle of the Bulge, he had PTSD. When I was young, about 4 - 5, he would suddenly tell me to get under the bed. He was scared we would be hurt. I forgot about it later, but my brother, who was older, brought it up after my father passed. He remembered more. Many of my mom's cousins, or cousin's spouses and her brother (who fought in the Pacific) had bad untreated PTSD after the war leading to heavy drinking and divorces. My uncle eventually did better.
It does please me you are sticking up for yourself you deserve a bit more respect.
