Just for chigrins lets look at some of the Original Posters claims line by line:
"Saddam does not have weapons of mass destruction."
Everyone in America and abroad knows he has weapons of mass destruction because it was the right who paved the way for him to buy them from American companies and how to make and use them.
"The people want Saddam in power."
This is ridiculous, I cant think of anyone who wants a known mass murdering psycho in power, wait a minute, unless you count the right who once again helped him become more powerful by selling him the WMD.
"We cannot win this war."
This is ridiculous again, cant see anyone making this claim. We are the lone super power and they are already a decimated third world nation with bad management. Nevertheless, the premise of this war is about keeping America safe and thats the measure of victory.
"Saddam does not support terrorists."
Heck, the list of those who support terrorism is so long its ridiculous, with our friend Saudi Arabia, making Saddam look like a wannabe supporter. As far as a Government, it was the left who rightfully declared Saddam a terrorist under Carter, and the right who decided remove the title and support him, i.e., they supported a terrorist.
We as American need to step away from this right -vs- left we're right and you're wrong madness. As long as this mindset exists, if our leaders to do wrong, then in support it means that *we* are wrong, and they are defended by their supporters no matter what, because after all no one whats to be wrong. It is non productive as ever . All Bush is doing is cleaning up the mess the right helped to create in the first place. Besides in this gleeful celebration of vindication of positions in of all things a *war* isn't maliciously boasting a show of pride, isn't that one of the seven deadly sins?
These attiudes most change or else nothing gets done, kind of like congress and judge appointments today.
