Ok thanks for the link.
I'm going to stick with what I said before.
The quotes of what this guy has said is worrying me.
''It's simple. They want water. I have it, as long as they agree to get baptized,''
''They do appear physically and spiritually cleansed,''
''Regardless of their motives,'' Llano said, ``I get the chance to take them closer to the Lord.''
''You have to be aggressive to help people find themselves in God,''
Another worrying thing...
"He calls himself a ''Southern Baptist evangelist,'' and justifies the war and killing with a verse from the Gospel of Matthew, which he often recites: ``Give unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's. ''This means we are called upon by our government to fight and that is giving unto Caesar, as the Bible tells us,'' he said."
He's very badly misquoting Matthew 22:21, where Jesus is talking about taxes. The pharisees tried to entangle him in his words. Read from Matthew 22:15-22 to get the whole picture.
So yeah, i've had my rant about this. It sounds like he's trading water for the troops to shower in, for them sitting through a 1&1/2 hour sermon and going through a quick baptism, which means nothing to them, they just want a shower. Ok, yes, it's good for them to hear a sermon, but the trade of a baptism for access to the water is just wrong.
...i'm going to stop now...
