These are just a few of mine:

Ephesians 2
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 4
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

John 14
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

I can't express how much I love the Bible. My family didn't read it, teach it, or teach us to pray.

Luke 17:20-21

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, [f]‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is [g]within you.”

This translation, though some other translations have as "in your midst" rather than "within you", was the key to me. It went off in my soul like a light bulb and from it everything made sense.

Look at the Lord's Prayer in Matthew:

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done...

...What happens when "his kingdom comes" if his kingdom was within us all along?
...What happens when we relinquish the thorny crown of self and step off the throne of our lives to kneel before the true King?
We were never meant to be there in the first place! My life, my soul, was never "mine". It was always HIS Kingdom!

And this explains the sense of guilt and dread I have always had in the way that I ran and ruled it.
I had become an Usurper, resentful of the claim of it's rightful owner
Hating the rightful owner for even making His claim
And being so, I could never be at peace

...How could it be otherwise?

But if this is done (my own surrender and repentance to the rightful King), then what naturally follows?

...Then His will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

For earth is where my feet are planted.

And I am no longer the King of my life, but the King's Hand
To see that His will is done with my life, as I always should have been.

That's an awful lot of mercy when you think about it.
Most human kings just execute rebels when they reclaim their thrones.
A rare few *might* offer amnesty just to make the transition easier for themselves.
Ever fewer would honor the amnesty once they were back in power.
This one, is truly different

So for me, those together Luke 17:20-21 and Matthew 6:9-10 have so much personal meaning and revelation to me

And quite frankly, an awful lot of relief.
The Crown of the Kingdom truly is a thorny crown.
It was never meant for my head
It had been there so long I needed His help to even take it off
But that...
That is Mercy.

The purpose of this thread is to post our favorite verses not to give personal interpretations.

I have posted my favorite verses.
Unfortunately I find it difficult for something to be a favorite for an impersonal reason.
Thanks for letting me share, I won't contribute further to the thread.

2Cor 10:3-5
3For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. 4The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Awesome! God bless you!

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Romans 10:5-12

(Rom 10:5) For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.
(Rom 10:6) But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)
(Rom 10:7) “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
(Rom 10:8) But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
(Rom 10:9) because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(Rom 10:10) For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
(Rom 10:11) For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
(Rom 10:12) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.

Psalm 139
You Have Searched Me and Know Me

1{To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

17How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

19Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

20For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Ephesians 4
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification, according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.
