Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has picked up support for his presidential campaign from what might at first appear an unlikely place: people who had worked for former President Trump’s campaign or administration or supported him.

Multiple former Trump supporters are backing DeSantis’s challenge to Trump for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

Well DeSantis is at least competent, which is perhaps the worrying part for those of us that disagree with his approach to politics.

Trump was never going to be a success story, and I think ultimately everyone knew that, but it was more important to many having someone wearing a red tie in the Oval Office and that's why he got voted in.

You should be worried

No, what was most important at the time was not having Hillary, regardless of color of tie.

Nobody wanted Obama part 3

What happens if Trump is indicted in Ga and both the special counsel investigations and loses to DeSantis? If anything Trump is consistent. He claimed voter fraud in 2016 when he won. He claimed voter fraud in 2020 when he lost. Of course both claims were nonsense, but Trump's ego will NOT let him admit defeat. He is that narcissistic. What happens if or when he claims the primary election was rigged and stolen from him if he loses to DeSantis? How would his stanch diehard supporters act come the 2024 presidential election? Does Trump sour them on the very idea of free and fair elections and they stay home....again?

Yet the majority of people who voted cast their ballot for her. Guess they don’t count.

A march on the Republican convention and attempt to stop the nomination process perhaps?

You should start a thread on that topic and how she denied the election for more than six years

Why should DT do that? That is your comment, not DT's. More people, in fact, did vote for Hillary, and that fact would lead to a discussion on the Electoral College, and nothing to do with election denial.

No, I should not. If you don’t want a topic spoken to in your thread not posting it is helpful.

Bravo for him.

From Twitter:

During Twitter announcement Desantis responds on the immigration crisis: If I were President I would reverse everything Biden is doing. We’ll declare a national emergency on day 1, construct a border wall, reimplement remain in Mexico, and deal with the cartels that are trafficking people and fentanyl to our country. We can’t allow these criminal organizations to continue poisoning our population.

Common sense. IMHO
Has the press asked DeSantis, his favorite Ice Cream?
Oh, wait... that's the other guy.

You’re right, I should not have responded to an off topic post. My apologies.

What would you like to discuss about Desantis? Who is the topic of this thread.

The media is calling it differently,

I don't know if you're aware of this, but an increasing majority of people couldn't give a rat's patoot about what the media thinks.

Unless it is a media outlet which admits that anti-vaxxers were correct? Don't we all just pick and choose what we want to take away from the media if it reinforces our bias? Yes we do.

Well, that's a pretty foolish way to approach the media. If that's what you do, then I suggest you stop it and read things that challenge your biases. You might learn something.

What's with the dumb ice cream shtick? You know we can actually watch your President's actual interactions with the media, right? We're not only getting it from evening show talkers on Fox, Newsmax or OAN.

Actually, that is what you just did today. I should have been more direct and thought you would get the post. You did not.
