I have been going on dates with someone recently. I don't really feel like this person is the one but then again I don't really know them still. This person wants to talk about something this week. I'm kinda scared I might have to let them down. Ive been on the receiving end years ago and I don't want to hurt them the same way I was hurt. I'm usually the one who gets rejected but Im scared to be honest

seems like you honestly do not know the person that well and you should be able to tell them that without fear of hurting their feelings, you are not rejecting them.

There's no need to be scared of such a conversation. It's in your, and their best interest that you have the difficult conversation sooner rather than later. You need to be happy in a relationship, and if you're not it's not in your best interest.

It's a difficult conversation to have, and you have my prayers that God illumines your, and their paths.

If you desire to go against the will of God by marrying an unbeliever it is evidence that you very likely do not have a genuine faith in God and a heart that wants to do his will. This would mean that you are unsaved. That you have not experienced the new birth and would spend eternity in hell if you died right now. I am not saying this is absolutely certain but it is likely as far as I can tell from my understanding of scriptures.

I am a born again Christian and I do want to do the will of God. I hope you are coming from a place of brotherly love in your correction. Yes I agree I shouldn't date a nonbeliever. But I completely disagree that it means I'm no longer saved or a real Christian. Unwise yes. Not God's best, absolutely possible. But not saved I completely think you need to gain clearer understanding of scripture. I dont want to marry an unbeliever, but calling me unsaved for even considering dating someone?
