EXCLUSIVE: Dozens of Mar-a-Lago staff, from servers to aides, are subpoenaed in classified documents probe

On Thursday, Trump’s communications aide Margo Martin, who worked in the White House and then moved with Trump to Florida, appeared before the grand jury in Washington, DC. One of special counsel Jack Smith’s senior-most prosecutors was involved in the interview.

The staffers are of interest to investigators because of what they may have seen or heard while on their daily duties around the estate, including whether they saw boxes or documents in Trump’s office suite or elsewhere.

For instance, federal investigators have talked to a Mar-a-Lago staff member seen on security camera footage moving boxes from a storage room with Trump aide [and Diet Coke valet] Walt Nauta, who has already spoken with investigators.
That definitely looks like the "let's tie up the loose ends and corroborate what the higher profile witness have told us" stage.

Trump attorney hires his own attorney as DOJ classified documents probe ramps up

Corcoran has hired attorney and principal at Ellerman Enzinna Levy in Washington, D.C., Michael Levy, to represent him, "people familiar with the matter" told Reuters.

According to the New York Times (NYT), prosecutors conducting the investigation are requesting "approval from a federal judge to invoke what is known as the crime-fraud exception,"

Trump attorney ordered to testify before grand jury investigating former president

District Judge Beryl Howell said in an order under seal that Justice Department prosecutors have met the threshold for the crime-fraud exception for Corcoran, the source said.

Corcoran, an attorney-turned-witness, had previously testified to the grand jury but declined to answer some questions, citing attorney-client privilege. The department argued to the judge he should not be able to avoid answering, because his discussions with the former president may have been part of an attempt to plan a crime.

I understand there has been some curious legal jujitsu going on, with the judges staying this, and demanding some materials by midnight, and a response by 6 AM. In the meanwhile:

Sources: Special counsel claims Trump deliberately misled his attorneys about classified documents, judge wrote

Prosecutors in the special counsel's office have presented compelling preliminary evidence that former President Donald Trump knowingly and deliberately misled his own attorneys about his retention of classified materials after leaving office, a top federal judge wrote Friday in a sealed filing, according to sources who described its contents to ABC News.

Once again a source that can not be checked and verified. "according to sources who described its contents to ABC News."

One suspects when the seal is lifted we know know the source.

Yes and until then we are to use blind faith to accept the unverified statements of an unidentified source, wow certainly is reassuring that we have spent years being lied to by people who publish reports that they do not even bother to make the attempt to verify, that kind of journalism would not even have received a passing grade in high school

According to the source(s), it was a top federal judge who did the writing. That writing is currently under seal. That is what they reported. Because that’s all the “news” that they have.
You’re just complaining about it because…

You have a bizarre misconception of how journalism happens. Sources are usually identified, just not named if they're anonymous. Reporters who make stuff up get caught. Most importantly, anonymous sources often aren't anonymous to the editor. They'll know who they are which will be a clue about how trustworthy the reporting is.

It isn't poor journalism to report what is currently known and how it is known. It is unreasonable to expect absolute certainty in a breaking story.

A federal judge has rejected former President Donald Trump's claims of executive privilege and has ordered Mark Meadows and other former top aides to testify before a federal grand jury investigating Trump's efforts to overturn the election leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

Meadows, Trump's former chief of staff, was subpoenaed along with the other former aides by Special counsel Jack Smith for testimony and documents related to the probe.

...including Trump's former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, his former national security adviser Robert O'Brien, former top aide Stephen Miller, and former deputy chief of staff and social media director Dan Scavino, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Former Trump aides Nick Luna and John McEntee, along with former top DHS official Ken Cuccinelli, were also included in the order, the sources said.

Well, when the seal is lifted, we’ll see how good/bad the ‘unreliable journalism’ is/was, huh?

And some people learned nothing about the media in the past 5 years.
You mean Fox viewers who consumed lies and propaganda while the hosts admitted they held their audience in disdain?

Come on now your are getting Fox confused with CNN and MSNBC they are the ones that spent 5 years telling the people lies about Trump and Russia and claiming that they had evidence that they were never able to produce, check the facts.
