That's some very interesting fan fiction, but Donald's shady way of doing things was well known before he ever stepped foot on the escalator. His reputation was particularly sullied among New Yorkers - aka those that knew him best. Dems had been unhappy with him since the Obama birth certificate nonsense.
What I find fascinating about this is the disconnect between what Donald's ardent fans think others are thinking and what they really are thinking. No one is expecting Donald to wind up in Rikers Island over this indictment. If it happens, it merely means the wheels of justice have started to turn. The grand jury in Georgia is still considering the evidence provided to them by the special grand jury. Jack Smith's investigation continues into the document theft and January 6th. There are more indictments coming.
This seems to be a recurring theme among Donald's most ardent supporters. The opinions expressed by CF members are not legally binding. When I say he stole the documents he was hoarding at his hotel, am I making a legal judgement? No. I'm averring my conclusion based upon what I know at this time. Same with the "perfect" phone call in Georgia.
Of course it goes without saying that Donald's most ardent supporters had no problem chanting "lock her up" for 5 years, but... yeah.
President Obama wasn't personally in charge of Obama for America, the campaign paid the fine and the case involved donations to the campaign, not money being taken from it.
This has been covered ad nauseum. Donald isn't in legal trouble for merely "mishandling classified documents". None of the three sections of the USC cited in the search warrant involved classification. Donald's crime was willfully and unlawfully retaining documents that were the property of the U.S. government. His lawyers even perjured themselves when they attested to him returning every document when he hadn't. On the contrary, President Biden and Vice President Pence have been proactive and cooperative.
That's just embarrassing.
