Why do people make fun of the 72 virgins in the Islamic paradise?

I'm not an expert on Islam. It's my understanding that only those men who willingly give their lives fighting for the faith are so rewarded. If they die as martyrs, they enter immediately into paradise and spend eternity in the company of beautiful young women. Other Muslims are judged by Allah, who decides if their earthly deeds warrant their admission to heaven or hell.

Where do these virgins come from? Allah just wills them into existence to be someone's sex slave?

I imagine a lot of these "martyrs" are pretty much rapists and thugs in their earthy life. Does Allah let them smack them around or does he intervene and act as some sort of bouncer? "Hey cool it off on the rough stuff Hassan." If one gets killed during a drunken rage.. does Allah magically give them another one?

Wonder the kind of pillow talk that comes about.

"So how did you become a martry?"

"Oh.. lol.. I strapped on a bomb vest and blew up an Israeli preschool."

"Whoa, that's like so cool.."

"Yeah.. reality.. the whole cosmos and all.. Allah created me for this one act.. and now I'll have sex with a bunch of empty air heads for eternity".

Little known fact, Allah likes to keep the virgin's IQ so not to make the martyr's feel inadequate about their own intelligence. Some leading experts think the IQ is around 75 to 80. But the debate rages on.

Could it be relating to 72 nations?

Luke 10:1

Depending on which edition or version, some have 72 were sent out.

70 or 72 of tradition are connected with nations and languages for example,

Genesis 11:1-8 comes directly after Torah gives a detailed list of exactly 70 descendants of Noah.
Over time new laguages emerged.
