Came across these on Youtube. I know it's nothing new to find presentations of these stories on the internet, but something about the way these were put together feels different. To me at least, it feels more like a witness to the events in question is sharing a fireside story with me. It's more engaging than just a lecture.
Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Wow those certainly are relaxing. That woman's voice on the newest video is crazy calm.
Indeed, the one regarding St. Moses the Black almost sounds like how I would picture him sounding.

Welcome by the way, I saw you were new here.

Thank you. I am glad to be here learning and asking questions. It's a real blessing. I am unfamiliar with the stories of the saints. I was raised Orthodox Christian Reformed. And we never learned of them. It is very interesting to hear these stories.

I was raised southern baptist here in Georgia, and I feel a bit robbed. Their struggles, particularly those enduring the yoke of Islam and Communism, really show you what it means to hold fast to your faith.

I mentally paint an image of an obstacle course wall climb in the military. I'm trying to make the ascent, while the saints are the ones that already made it on top and are cheering me and you on. I'd love to know all I can about them.

I feel similar. Sometimes I psychologically reach across church lines to try to feel what the rest of my family feels when they believe. I know that my denomination was wrong on some things, and right on others. I see some of these stories and I think they are very inspirational, I don't pray to saints or bow to statues. But I certainly do admire the courage they've shown.

It's fine, this subforum exists for that purpose of information exchange and you're more than welcome to reach across to here. Reading and knowing the lives of the Saints is a blessing in itself.
