. It’s surprisingly easy to do this at home DIY. I saw your thread so figured I’d share. After transferring you could varnish with a spray varnish and it will be protected and will look like an oil painting. At the end of the day you are transferring just the ink itself and there isn’t much difference between pigmented ink and tube paints that painters use except for the binder. Some printer inks may not be as colorfast as others but varnish can provide UV protection and the work can last a lifetime and beyond. You could also paint the wood in advance with gold metallic paint before transferring the image which will look even more authentic.
