I mean, there are still rainbows, so I don't know if you can really say it's been 'stolen'.

They took them right out of the sky I tell you! Haha haha

Maybe Christians should adopt a black/gray rainbow theme so they can honor Gods message to Noah while avoiding problematic associations with homosexuality.

Doing this would be surrendering to the gays and allowing them to adopt the rainbow as their symbol. It was God who decided what the rainbow symbolizes and while I have never seen the first rainbow he created I am sure that it was in color, not black and white.

I'm pretty sure that the gays adopted the rainbow as their symbol years ago.

My wife and I were at the grocery store yesterday and I saw a rainbow cake in the bakery. It was only 5 colors but still had the effect that the liberals and their agendas planed. I immediately felt the urge to get divorced and start randomly kissing men with unkempt beards. My wife saw the warning signs and immediately got me out and set me in front of the TV and had me watch the 1984 Red Dawn five times. Crisis avoided.

You can't steal what isn't owned. The best that could be claimed is that the coopted the symbol.
What about when a baseball player steals second base? How about stolen glory?

Stealing can mean depriving others. That girl was deprived of having a rainbow cake, because now most anything rainbow symbolizes LGBTQQIP2SAA+. Just like how the swastika symbolizes Nazism now, even though it didn't for thousands of years.

A stolen base is a metaphor used in sports terminology where normally someone advances based when the ball is hit but this person simply runs when the players aren't looking for "thievery" metaphor. Stolen Glory is fraud where you claim to have a right to say you served in the military when you did not. That's closer to what I am talking about because only certain people "own" that right.

She wasn't though, she had a rainbow cake and was kicked out of her school by intolerant bigots.

Nothing was stolen here because people are free to interpret that cake however they want and they chose to interpret it that way. She, by her rights doesn't have the right to be treated well by the school, they are well within their rights to expel someone over a rainbow cake.

If the bakery had frosted with all 7 colors, that might just have been the end of your marriage on the spot.

Kicked out of that school? Best thing for her, I think.

They couldn't deal with a rainbow cake. Kind of obvious she wasn't in the right place.

Unless they ironically had a killer mathematics or art program that she liked.

Like the swastika being associated with Nazism, the rainbow is now associated with LGBTQQIP2SAA+. People can't have rainbow cakes now without it being associated with LGBTQQIP2SAA+. LGBTQQIP2SAA+ is entirely worldly and humanistic and therefore LGBTQQIP2SAA+ symbolism does not belong in Christianity any more than if she had a pentagram cake.

Also that cake was not the only reason why she was kicked out of that private school.

Correct.
And, she didn't buy the cake or post the cake on social media, that was all her mother's doing. The school was informed of that. So ...
The school determined that this family did not share the same Christian views that the school taught and promoted.

You can somewhat but you weren't if you feel that Christians should "own" the rainbow symbol and it's meaning by right of divine provenance (which is fine by me that you feel that way). I simply disagree that you can own a symbol like a rainbow, there's no enforcement mechanism on who owns what symbol other than how people think and interpret symbols which is why the Nazi's could successfully repurpose the symbol of life into a representation of their viscous ideology.

Symbols mean what people think they mean. You can't "own" their meaning and thus you can't steal it, you can merely convince people in one way or another to change their mind about what they think symbols mean.

But overall, my point to your point is that the stolen idea always requires an attached idea of ownership.

Play with semantics all you want. That doesn't change the fact that the rainbow is now predominantly the symbol for LGBTQQIP2SAA+. And LGBTQQIP2SAA+ does not fit in with Christianity.

Eventually you guys will get over yourselves on this issue I think, then it will.

Who owns symbols is a tangent discussion at best.

Christianity isn't about ourselves.

You're still playing around with words which doesn't change the fact that the rainbow color spectrum now stands for LGBTQQIP2SAA+ Pride.

For instance here's a image search for "rainbow cake"

And here's an image search for "LGBTQ pride cake"

As can be seen the sets of images for both are virtually the same.

I understand why you might feel that way but In this context I disagree.

I don't think any God is responsible for Christian views on homosexuality and therefore I feel free blame you for your own actions.

You're still playing around with words which doesn't change the fact that the rainbow color spectrum now means LGBTQQIP2SAA+ Pride.

I didn't disagree with you on that point, it means that because people think it does. I disagreed that symbols can be "stolen".

The rainbow color pattern has been stolen, appropriated, taken over et al etc as the symbol for LGBTQQIP2SAA+ Pride. And everyone knows it, yet some pretend that's not the case.
